  LTA Approved DVR Camera: CDG-$425, TC-$160.50

  I am a VERY Simple man, ONLY understand very simple logic.
  Very companies price their product base on their market position.
  Hotel Chicken Rice $35+++ per set, Hawker Centre Chicken rice $4.50 Net per set. 

   

  Singapore Largest Taxi comapny-  CDG (ComfortDelGro)
  CDG Selling their CDG/LTA Approved DVR Camera at $ 375.00
  Offer to 1st 500 TD @  $275.00

  

  
  Singapore 2nd Large Taxi Comapny- TC (TransCab- also Known as Ah Tiong Taxi Co.)
  TC Selling their TC/LTA Approved DVR Camera at $ 160.50 with subsidy

  

  $ 375.00 : $160.50 <<==>> $2.35 : $1

  CT very day OTR for 10 ~ 12 Hours to make $100/Day

  Simple Logic, If  I Jump to CDG for same timing OTR, at least I can double my income.

  Fxxk, Now I know why Bros BCL swift from RED to BLUE.

  what does LTA approve mean?

  without the LTA aprove model, all video capture are illegal? not valid?

  LTA Approved means you can kiss your hard earned money good bye if you want to protect your self from fradulant claims and buy these overly priced cameras , If such videos were illegal or not vaild the taxi drivers who posted both Farrai and lexsus accident videos would be fined & dinned in cages for weeks by now so there is the reality of "LTA Approved" its just words to legalised ripping off taxi drivers by taxi companies

  so is it a must to purchase their LTA approve model?

  mine non LTA approve model can use as evident when accident occur?

  or LTA is a new super brand which i'm too "suan ku" to notice?

  Bro its all crap , you can use your camera for "recording outside the front windscreen" and do not violate the privicy of the passenger inside then its fine i guess as for example both taxi drivers who posted accident videos were using "non LTA Approved" cameras and no one dared reject their evidence so far , just one word of advice install your camera in such a way that it doesnt obstruct your view in anyway. but again dont quote me on this as generally traffic laws are like wax nose can turn anywere best suited.

  CDG买给他们的德士师父的而��LTA批准的，需�S$375.00
  TC买给我们这些阿忠德士师父的（�LTA批准的），需�S$160.50

   

  俺这一辈�都在�市场行销，根�市场行销的定�标价黄金守则�
  一样是鸡饭，五星级酒店的�买$40大元，�贩中心的�能买$4元。
  
  CDG敢买S$375.00，因为他们的德士师父肯定负担起�
  TC有先�之明，所以虽然是新加�德士行业的�二，
  但TC知�它的德士师父�有本事付S$160.50。

  without LTA aprroval means any dispute which go to court you cannot use it as evidence but for insurance they do accept when reporting

  knn such camera with similar function only cos $100plus only

  CDG or the vendor make more than 100% profit

  just like the Npark tender so high

  early this year i spoke to lta officer (for taxi) about camera, somehow in a way should there be any complain ( non-accident) from pax, on another side they will still accept it if td able to prove innocent by showing

  Ok, let get down to laws,

  Approval meaning license to install and operate. It is the hardware that was approved, the software, that is the video is still legal under accident claim or investigation no matter what camera or hp camera you use. 

  What it mean is that, that is no guarantee if that non approved camera causes electric shock or harm to both driver and passenger. Sound stupid, but that is the system of Singapore, everything must be approved, from foods to any electronic and electrical product, if not, alot of those inspecting peoples will lose their jobs. As such, anything that go thru singapore test Centre or food inspection, the price will be mark up to offset the inspection cost. Like this lor

  Three cab firms get LTA nod for in-car cameras

  THREE of the seven taxi companies here have obtained approval to install cameras inside their taxis, aLand Transport Authority (LTA) spokesman told The New Paper on Wednesday.
  
  They are Comfort, CityCab and TransCab.
  
  At least one more company, Prime Taxi, is going through the application process.
  
  
  The LTA spokesman said that applying companies need to provide the objective for installing the equipment, its technical specifications and mounting mechanism, as well as the implementation schedule for installing the equipment.
  
  She said: "LTA will take into account the information submitted by the taxi company and consider factors such as the safe mounting of the equipment, and whether it will unduly affect the safety, comfort and privacy of passengers."
  
  Prime Taxi general manager Eric Ang said yesterday that his company was still sourcing for the right product and vendor. He said: "In-car cameras in all our taxis will happen, but not immediately."
  
  Both SMRT and Prime Taxi said information on costs - including how much a driver would have to foot - would come at a later date.
  
  In-car cameras would benefit taxi drivers and their passengers as it would expedite accident claims, defence lawyer Gloria James said. It would also come in handy if, say, a passenger sues the cabby in an accident.
  
  Such insurance claims can be hefty.
  
  In 2003, a lawyer was awarded $300,000 compensation when a taxi slammed into the rear of a taxi he had been riding in, resulting in whiplash.
  
  Said Ms James: "In an accident, the passenger sues the driver even if the taxi has been hit from behind.
  
  "The taxi driver then has to bring in the driver of the other car as a co-defendant. In-car camera footage would prove the taxi driver's case and help transfer liability."

  Not that bcl join cdg becos cdg make more money, if anyone offer a lower rental for a transcab wish from 8pm to 6am. . . .he will drive a wish. . Of course if both matches . he is for cdg. . . That will be more ideal . 

   

  if now got smart offered lower from 8pm to 6am . he will pay more for cashless .

  Wish? mai la. i will have to run road very soon if i go back to wish. Kena rejected , bo call , bo advance , gas problem.
