Anybody else in this forum happened to be travelling on CTE towards town and is near Balestier exit at around 3:25 ~ 3:30am today?
WTF? I encountered the same reckless driver(possibly drunk), not once but twice within ten or so minutes.
1st encounter with the vehicle was when I just exited the CTE at Moulmien exit, right turn onto Moulmien, heading in the Balestier, Upper Serangoon direction(sending a pax to Moonstone Lane). @ about 3:22am I noticed a vehicle just ahead of me(it was already travelling on Moulmien) hazard lights on, and swerving in and out of the 2nd and 3rd lane for a short distance. Can't be certain if that guy was drunk because the lights happened to be red at the Balestier/Moulmien junction and the swerving is only for a short distance. Uncertain but it already caught my attention. There were 6 or 7 vehicles stopping at the lights at that time.
Things started to get weird when the lights turn green, when all the vehicles at the junction starts moving off to negotiate the right turn onto Balestier, the suspected drunk driver again move his vehicle erratically forcing 2 cabs next to him to suddenly swerve away, apply emergency brake and one of them blasted the horn at him.
That guy was spooked by the honk I think, and immediately sped off, made a left turn into the CTE Balestier exit AGAINST the flow of traffic!!!
Luckily there wasn't any oncoming traffic at that time, and the said vehicle stopped about 20m into the slip road where a church entrance is located so I thought he may have realized the mistake and will try to make a u turn and I continued on my journey.
After dropping off my pax at Moonstone Lane at 3:26am, I drove onto Upper Serangoon Road, turned left towards PIE/CTE, heading towards town.
To my horror, about 10 minutes after the first encounter, that vehicle is now driving at high speed towards me and all other vehicles on CTE, everyone was dodging left and right trying to avoid that idiot.
I stopped my cab and called 999 immediately, I'm hoping that nobody is hurt in this incident and that the police can apprehend the culprit.

I know...I was also thinking the same
Most of the vehicles dodging that vehicle at that time are taxis though, hopefully someone else recorded the incident.

Bro, not say Taxi where got time lei, some people can afford to waste rental, some take taxi driving to past time whereas others may need to really make full use of their 12hrs shift just to make ends meet.
After these 3 months or so of being a cabby, I felt that all I do now is either sleep or work...only off days are days where vehicle breaks down. But still, even when vehicle is down I'm also too tired to do anything except sleep/rest...Slave for 12 hrs a day, 7 days a week just to make a mediocre $xx ~ $1xx a day, can't imagine splurging rental just to relax.
Who don't want to relax and spend quality time with their friends and family? How I wish I can also afford the luxury to relax like you guys...but its just unrealistic at the moment.
*Sigh*
Maybe lady luck will smile on me this wed, then I can also afford to rest for a couple of days.
Then what you want to be? sell 4D at singapore pool counter?
i feel safer riding my bike in our neighbour highways than on our very own
PIE or any highway anytime...............
yikes.... crazy drivers live amongst us~
