Go Green Seed Fund launched
SINGAPORE : Green enthusiasts in South East Singapore can look forward to more funding for their eco-friendly initiatives.
The South East Community Development Council (CDC) and SMRT Corporation jointly launched the new Go Green Seed Fund on Friday.
SMRT and South East CDC donated S$15,000 each to the fund.
It is hoped this will encourage people in the district to address environmental concerns and raise eco awareness.
Launched in conjunction with ITE's Eco-Conference, the grant will provide up to S$5,000 per project.
But the fund is not for individuals. It hopes to seek out green collaborations between at least two community partners. These include schools, grassroots organisations and voluntary welfare organisations, or other interested parties.
Registration is open from July 13 August 17.
Submitted applications will be subjected to evaluation by a panel, comprising members from SMRT, South East CDC and the National Environment Agency.
