Another True Story ( this one i heard from toyota distributor people that i know) when i drove 1.8 Wish.
The earlier batch of 1.8 Wish. There is this Wish service by Defu and you know what happen to the gearbox? Gearbox jamm and overheat.
What happen? The mechanic change the gear oil but replace with engine oil.
Transcab argue for warranty but Distributor cannnot warranty it. Finally out of good will they go "on dutch" payment.

Last years, my taxi was overheated...I presume can make it back to workshop.
Never know, engine stalled at Sin Ming/Marymount junction....so near yet so far.
The damage is unbelievable serious....Was make to write statement and possible of paying the damages in excess of $500.
Than I cry father, cry mother stories all come out...but still bo give chances...
2 instalment of $250 each close the farking case, also receive a warning letter...
Every cases have their right or wrong, I'm not commenting on TS concern....I'm just wanted to enlighten those forumers, CDG also not a charity community.....
Wear & Tear or Negligence is very subjective, TD do take good care.

Transcab will sometime replace a so called brand new tyre but second hand. I kena.

Very noisy. I go outside tyre shop and check it.
This tyre is " Pong Tor" Circumference got a small belly.
I go back and fuck them and challenge the mechanic and finally they admit it and replace.
Cheap Skate buy from Scrap Yard second hand new tyre.

My Experience of brand new tyre with taxis:
Goodyear - Number 1 ( with good rubber compound)
Falken - Number 2 ( with good rubber compound) but wear out very fast as it is soft.
Westlake - Worst - very hard, noisy when it is new. No good road holding. No Aqua grip.
Kumho - So So
Optimo - So So

MY ROV servicing was on 29 June 2012 and I went to STA for inspection. Passed!!
I couldnt sleep the whole night and sought Poolmans advice. Not to PAY!!!! gonna cost a bomb and all.
I woke cup and called Miss M L , those transcabbies will know who , she said will check.
At 2pm she called, said need to pay $354 for the repair. I asked for a description and breakdown she cant give me and needed to check and now 8,00pm I am still waiting for the freaking call.
Guess what, guys, I will get a copy of the blackand white and also statement of account and post it here for you all to see.
And guess what Freaking Jasmine is shitting in her panties now as a MDT message at 2.45pm

My uncle who runs his mechanic business for 40 yrs, opened my bonnet and checked. There doesnt seem to be any overhaul an overhaul will take minimum 3 to 5 says. say for a new tension belt and engine mounting all seems as usual.
Unless they charge me $354 from labour of transferring another wish engine to my chassis?
Guys , you got to believe me, I have been OMO for 3 mths since April 2012 and 2nd time towed. moreover, I have been superrelief with these scums since 2011.
So.. you guys know.

I don't understand why you must head home when your aircon is down ?
Furthermore, you are in SengKang which is near to Defu Lane (transcab workshop)
Don't tell me you don't know there's downtime when your cab aircon is not working ?
I'm really puzzle why you must head home from sengkang all the way to Jurong West ?

In your case, you should have called the tow truck instead.
Why take risk ?
If you call the workshop and informed them of the overheating issue and if they insist that you drove back, then you are protected.

Does it make any difference ? Which the vehicle broke down at jurong or sengkang ? Could be jeremy wanted to go pump gas first . Go home first , it's just aircon problems when he called me .. next day drive vehicle to repair ac ? Ac broke down is normal until he reached jurong . Going back to jurong save taxi fare? Frok defu ? It doesn't mean anything to me. Engine need overhaul driver pay? worst ct2220 kena no need pay? double standard? Jeremy told me engine come out red light , i told him stop immediately , call for tow truck , but dunno how he make it to Jurong and finally engine died off .
