I kena the same thing in May. That week really sway, lost $80 like this, kena 2 accidents, all in 1 week. ( 1 my fault)
All in all lost $300.
But made that back and more thanks to Euro 2012. so cheer up bro, for every bad, there will come some good, sure one. Money lost will be able to recover back, just be patient...

This happens when TD CuntCheong after seeing $50 note.
Be very careful. Seeing is one thing. $50 thing in your hand is another. Making sure the note is not fake!!! is the next!!. After all this is done, then give the change.

Not $50 only lah, knn come come go go with the change is more than $70, can pay for TC rental per day leh.
, then what about the fuel, the time, all these are costs.To some is $50 nia, but to many like me, is sweat and blood money.
As for me, if pax gives $50 out of a sudden, then I sure grab it first, see see, look look, then if geninue, then put it deep into my ah pek's shirt big front pocket, then after that $50 is warm warm in the pocket already, then I slowly give them the change.
One of the main characteristic of a successful businessman is skrew and cunning, we TD must also learn to be that way, but how much skrewed or screwed, or cunning we are, we cannot go far, but at least, we must make sure you do not get screw back.

Ya, drive can drive fast fast, but collect money, slowly slowly.
Some of these bastard pax are waiting for you to make a mistake, especially if there is a long Q or pax infront or simply a good connection waiting. Then they purposely give u a big $50, for a 7.75 fare, you kalang kabo with the change, cos you also do not want other cab to take the pax infront of you, yet your mind is tired after driving certain hours.
If you changed correctly, no harm to pax, he or she is baiting for you to change wrongly or forget to collect the $50.
Good pax with big note will alway tell you before boarding or on the way, "Uncle, sorry, i got a $50, do you have extra to change for it, if not, later drop me somewhere I buy some drink to change it for you"
Pax giving u a $50 out of sudden, must be wary ok, slowly slowly

Relax ....
Some time u'll find pax drop coins when they depart from ut taxi. I also fast hands n legs to pick before they ask any questions.
If they ask i tell them its the previous pax who dropped it. Always collect the cash from your pax first and put one side or ur pocket, then slowly dig out the change if have.
Sometimes, they want to see the fare again, i press for them to verify the correct fare.
No need hurry one ....

A few weeks ago I picked up a female pax from the airport. Upon arrival collected my $30+ fare, gave her $7-8 change, unloaded her luggages from the boot, got back into cab but when I picked up the money from the dash to put inside my pocket I realized I was short-changed.
The pax actually paid me $10x3 and a $2($32) instead of the $10x4($40) I previously thought.
Other then my own carelessness, I think the way she paid her fare also contributed to my error. i.e, when I stopped meter upon arrival, told her the fare and she replied with "uncle, here's $40" when passing me the money.
Still uncertain if it was deliberate or not...

put on the front pax seat... if pax in front seat... put on top of dashboard...
count the change... mentally add up the change plus fare... sometimes calculator also take out to press...
re-count the change....
especially pax who give $50 for less den $10 fare...
me will count the four red notes at least 5 times...

Very sad for you.
But why say no change when you got change??
Situation is like this. Passenger really had no change. Taxi driver had change but did not want to return change for whatever the reason is. In the end, taxi driver return the change without collecting the Big Note.
If you say no change, Stick to No Change! Ask pax use credit or ATM.

Always check money and count in front of passenger first.
Always switch on car light when dealing with collections at night.
Collect money first! then provide Excellent Service.
