  Making full use of time to make money for taxi company ?

  OMO - 1st 5 hours cover costs and diesel

  Relief - abt 2.5hrs to cover costs and diesel

  as a newbie OMO maybe need even more time, also makan time, pee time, etc, so after driving so many hours haven see money, can you still stay high morale and continue driving ?

  omo ? all those solid drivers i knew . . . . most relief drivers . most omo i knew . . . many threw keys . . . found a new job some throw until we dunno , . . cos they hardly come into forum to tell us how they going? sleep also not enuf liao . . . where got time go forum ?

  free go and read those omo feedbacks as omo . one thing i am so sure . . . poolman drive shorter hours . earn maybe sameboike they do for 8 hours . . . and poolman certainly has got saturday n sundY guarantee off days , saturday i happy i drive , just inform hirer . Off means no need throw rental Omo no chance happy happy off , unless they throw rental. mon to friday need to off ? i just throw $20 , can liao . Not like omo , throw $104 for a sonata or $117 for smrt chevy if need to off. Who has got the most time in forum ? poolman lor . . .

  They are advising newbies to be relief first. Which in my pov is good advise. You could be a F1 driver, but if you not famaliar with routes or other taxi lobangs, you may not make it OMO. Routes and other taxi lobangs come with years of experience OTR and Never! from SGForum.

  thank u joeraj, angwk, poolman and all.... well nothing is easy in life and i know all yr remarks meant well, and know where u guys are coming from... I have consider for sometime b4 deciding to drive taxi, if not wont have spend 400+ before even starting. As wat some guys here have said, being new, is kinda fresh but will slacken after soemtime... this applies to each individual, depending on how hungry u are. Maybe those tat slacken have no commitments or watsoever (just driving for fun, anyway is others ppl biz) Back to wat u guys have suggested, getting cdg is a good choice but the 3months wait is too long (unless i wanna be a relief) That gives me last 3options, smrt, trans and premier. 1. Trans only have epica and requires 1year contract and 1.5k depo(dont hitnk i wanna take cng) NOT competitive (115/day) 2. SMRT has got 2k to give away if i join them but not sure how long got to wait, was told 1 mth. 12days foc rental/year and some rebates 3. Premier has got KIA whihc cost abt 103 (if i remmeber correctly) So from here, i would most likely to get from premier, cause pax dont chose what kind of taxi u driving.. so long can get them to where they wanna go. I really hope to hear fro u all, if Premier is ok..... ty in advamce

  The waiting time for CDG to assign you a vehicle don't neccesarily have to be that long,  I know of some factors that can speed up or slow down the waiting time drastically.

  If u don't mind, 

  - manual Crown - almost immediate assignment.

  - whether the assigned vehicle blue or yellow - time shortened a bit.

  - whether the vehicle got advertisements - shorthened further

  - the age of the vehicle - shortened somemore

  How I know? Very recently, 4~5 of my classmates and I from the same TDVL course all got our vehicles in less than 3 weeks upon getting license.

  3 weeks is really not a long time considering before we can even become their hirer we still have to go to CDG attend don't know what MDT course lah, Basic service training for new hirer lah and another don't remember call what...it is for 1st time hirer of auto taxi one.

  However, if CDG really don't have any available vehicle, nobody throw key, nobody default payment got  towed, etc., then the above will not make any difference I think. LOL

  Very simple, that is not something for us TD to care. That job is purely Taxi Company one.

  You think CDG, Trans etc, never do market study or have back up plans should their cabs become idle.

  Got many pattern one, last time I remember in late 2000s, Comfort got such thing as weekend rental one. Only need to rent Fri Sat and Sun. Insurance also work out like Beach Road, pay around $90.

  Then got many attractive offer for ppl become hirer, this discount, that discount, pay late also can talk one

  Now when demand exceed dupply, they tell wait, before every 2 week they will call you and ask you, Sir wanna become hirer or not, got intro fee, this la that la.

  We TD shouldn't be worried about taxi co problem, we have enough of our own, and we are on our own

  This is not a football club that we support must be loyal one, taxi copany is business entity, their 1st priority is make money.

  You become a liabilty, they will not hesistate to give you red card esp CDG, since got many newbies waiting in the wings to take over.
