Do you know the meaning of "ah neh"?

Just to share.
During my construction days, some of my indian colleagues n workers addressed me as "ah neh" or "tambi". I was puzzled at that time. So, grab an indian engineer n asked him to enter my question. He replied that "ah neh" means elder brother n "tambi"means younger brother. Next time "tulan" ah neh, please do not call them elder brother.

U call them "Ba Chan", this one also mean brother..but in laws, meaning your sister married to me, you are my brother in law.

Do not call them Su ni, meaning ah cock, sure kenna problem
"Pun there" mean CB, "Pun there Mai re" means Chee Hong

Must wait for TS to grab his Indian Engineer to confirm. Maybe no Indian Engineer ever called him that, or he would have included the explanation in the first post.

Knn, casket also got indian pax mah, then must talk to their relatives, all must fall in, get briefed my me before parade start, so must use some tamil language.
