no insult lah, the fare from there to the hotel is not more than $5 , somemore he is late(suppose if he say the true), he can pay you the full fare but can you pay him the time loss? ever got cdg driver late or noshow for booking for pax that go to the airport, do you kown how much cdg got to pay the losses pax incurred? only i not sure whether was the driver ask to bear or not

that means everytime the passenger say they need to reach their destination at a certain time,u must be able to do it or else if he is late u gotta compensate him?it's not that i don't know the route i got confuse i thought that there was an exit at orchard,but that one only for coming fr ang mo kio!yah i blame myself for being so stupid,bochap,insulting,argumentative,not suitable for this job,cry wolf type.i think fr now on i will stop posting.have a nice day,i prefer to be fcuk by passengers then by u guys'

Eh minus all the tekan, actually you have got your answers here. The correct thing is when realise, stop the meter. Charge lesser nevermind. Consider pay learning fees. You go wrong cannot expect pax to be responsible. I am not good with route also but I try to handle the pax in a way no win no lose and no problem. But sometimes for $5 dunno drive for what... but that's a seperate matter.

I use online fare calculator, the fare is abt $5.00, if went by the correct route
so actually the pax did not anyhow pay

I kanna once just a few nights ago.
One PRC woman in her thirties flagged me near lor 20 geylang after midnight. Say wanna go hougang ave 8. I initially wanted to go straight take PIE then CTE exit AMK ave 3 but she insist I turn into lorong 17 and go by aljunied road. She say she everyday take this route but I explain to her that I'm a newbie so if take her route, she needs she guide me and she say ok.
I proceeded then while driving towards aljunied, her hp rang and she was talking on her hp to some guy, those mushy talk, I start to panic as I reach aljunied and duno which way she want to take. I asked her and even gestured to her but she was so busy talking that she ignored me. So Bo pian, I look at road signs to help me. Think I used upper serangoon till I hit yck road. Then turn right as finally I see hougang ave 8 on the road sign . Finally she then put down her phone and she commented that this is the first time she used such a route home. I said, there we are, next turn would be ave 8.
Upon reaching her flat, total fare is $16.06
I told her fare is $16. Then she told me, she can only pay me $15. I asked why? She said this is the most expensive ride she ever taken and usually max is $12-13+ only. As I was about to ask her if it's midnight or not, she left the money on the armrest then slam the door...

So tell me. Am I being short charged or I really had taken a longer route?

upper serangoon straight to junction hougang ave 2/3 then turn left, you should not have turn to yck as it is longer

Depends on pax destination, hougang ave 8 is a long stretch of road....
Last week, I picked up pax from serangoon stadium (SPC kiosk) to hougang ave 8, instead of u-turn, he tell me go straight towards upper sgoon rd (past kovan mrt) and left turn at The Florida.

how from aljunied end up in yck?
up the viaduct will land u in hougang... wont connect to yck rd...
if didn't up the viaduct... went by below... to reach yck rd... most prob made a left turn at boundary rd... den right turn to yck rd...
if tat is the route... confirm long way...
correct way - as pax requested - should be at the junction of upp serrangoon / upp aljunied... go up the viaduct..

No one expects you to know every route but you are charging 300%.
People overcharge your wife 50% and you not happy.

this is what i normally dowhen pax want a specific special route which need to be guide
1. raise my voice a little higher ( not shouting) , pax will get attention and start giving instruction
2. if pax no response, i will slow my speed and let him realise i waiting for instruction
3. if die die still no response, i will slow a stop
so far never kena scolding from pax, they either stop chatting or will start to use their hand show straight left/right or talk and guide at the same time but you must at the same time drive and look out for their silience signal, so at the same time drive carefully too
