The taxi drivers have to stand united and look out for each other regardless of company.

lone ranger driver will have such problems .
walkie group comes in handy in such situation .

in Lake View , i dun hear such thing before , like robbery or armed attacked .
The things was , i think ..... once attackers knew we have communciation equipments , they might just need to think twice .
If i am the attacker , i have thought over it a long long time before i attacked .
Of course one might say , if gonna kena attack , u cannot escape .

Last week i kena hit from side , one Burmese PR side swept my cab , he was on small road .
He got out of his cab ..... straight away claimed i swept him .
I told him : " Hello , i got car camera , u want to see ?"
"What u got car camera ?"
Then he scared , he settled $150 with me , i "hunk" him that Singapore Police now eyeing foreigner driver , so he better pay up before TP charge him , cos i am going to bring this SD card to Traffic Police , he scared lan lan pay me .
Just a little camera , can have some psychology advantage .

There's so many case with walkie groups also kanna rob...the closest I knew 1 is recently Yishun's case, TD from my group...kanna rob $100, no reaction time to even do anything...
Drive with care...we won't know these bastard when they want to strike..

Guess every job has it own hazard, however the level of hazard for taxi driving is rather high due to operating as lone ranger and also graveyard shift.
I said again, we TD must stand as one, be it walkie group or wake up group, we must voice up as one, fark the NTA, the association should be doing the job, knn, why alway keep quiet and do nothing? Safety first.
The usual announcement will be, this is an isolated case, singapore as a society is safe, we should not put one case and change the system or said that our society is not safe, let see how it goes, we shall monitor and change as deem necessary, in the meantime, we should work together to safe guard each other.
Pay Millions not few dollars leh. Like this I also can be Minister.

Before u can hammer him, that fellow slashed u & run off. If not lock the door, then hammer him until song song ........... Why not install metal grill from behind the pax & the front side to the driver to protect us !! Only leave a big hole at the bottom to collect $$..... Better still ...

On the other hand, for LTA and the govt, that give an image that our country are not peace and harmony and also dangerous.

This type of issue, must one day, apply license at Hong Lim park, then all cabbies stop for an hour, all go there and voice our grievences, get whatever news, from CNN to wanbao to BT and Minggu to come and we together sing our grievence song, then let them go interview Chief Pool, he will be sensational overnite.

The motive remain unknow, it seem to me like it is a paid job to teach that driver a LESSON.
Many Singaporean are thinking our land is safe, police are in control. They can perform any unethical behavior (but not against the Law) and still be protected.
It is cheap to get a low grade foreign worker to do the teaching job.
