According to many TD, Friday night is suppose to be the best making $$$ day for night shift, but somehow, I only make slightly better than other days. When Clarke Quay, all I saw is a war zone. Mountain people mountain sea, so is taxi.
Certain taxi stand tends to have more passengers going to certain locations. Tried industrial site during peak hours, how stupid me, end up a short trip took me 45 mins due to traffic jam. Office area a lot of snoobish passenger, many taxi infront rejected them for going to ulu places, I anything goes, instead of being greatful, they still talk bird word. From now on I will avoid certain areas, rather empty and proceed to my prefered location to do pick up.
Town areas got a lot of land mines, some places have as much as 5 traffic police bike stationed together, like MBS. When they're more needed after midnight, all gone sleeping, I really wonder what those traffic police are. I hate those traffic police on bike more than any other road users, they ride dam fast, and anyhow zig-zag then stop at traffic light, it makes me re-think who the real road devil is.

well u can try point middle finger at them......i say try only hor...........
I am so young, but people keeps calling me uncle, even those elder than me. I turned around to look at them when they pay fare, they will be like eyes wants to pop out like that, some even commented: (Ah tee ah, you so young why don't find a proper job?)
I think driving taxi is better than spending more time in the prison again, but how can I tell them that? Met a few TD, all said just driving for fun, not really for money, if really depends on the taxi income die long ago liao, when I scanned at them, they're just big canon with only sound, why they feel so insecured inside them?
I was dealing with rich people everyday, spending from $10k -$300k on a single item, most of the time I can identify them, even when they are wearing t-shirts, bermuda and slippers. The way they speak, their behavior and reactions towards certian topics.
When comes to people like some of the TD I met, I will cut the conversation short and move on, rather go toilet first to get prepared for the next trip than wasting time on this kind of people, I have enough of this kind of people for the past 15 years in my sales career.
Taxi driving is suitable for "genuine" retired man, but anyone out there who is holding to a job with more than $2k/mth, I suggest.... don't drive taxi, because just like any other job, when you're new, it do takes some time to be good at it, and you will be sacrificing your income through the learning stage. Unlike being employed in a job, learning stage still can Oon Oon chiak bee hoon get paid on an agreed amount, idle or MC still get paid.

Not everyday is a good day.
Luck sure got up and down day.
Set a standard driving time.
Sometime when luck is down, even you go extra hours also no use.
Need to use 平常心 to drive.
Yah, agree with you, sometimes bochap result good, but when too much theory and strategies end up OBK.

I had never fail to pick and go at Vivo city , because most cab wait for call or proceed to RWS.
Advantage: Easily can connect to AYE, ECP or CTE after turning at Bt. Merah. Pax going East is rare, if you want to go West, North or Central, it's one place you might want to consider.
Disadvantage: Sometimes real bad traffic jam except Sunday.
