Started to be on the road again last night at 6pm. Month end night shift really quite tough. Majority are short trips without connection. Kenah ping pong between North and West for 4 hours, can't take it anymore and proceeded to town. From there, the metre started to rock n roll.
Town within town, till one pax brought me to Tampinese. Go queque at T2. Reached T2, eyes almost pop-out, double file and long long dragon. Pax go Hougang, after that I went back Orchard and pick up a pax go Bt Gombak, looked at my watch, already 4am, pump wash and keep.
Starting to have momentum in taxi driving, which really makes this job more enjoyable. Last night end shift did an calculation on the mileage per litre of diesel, only 9.5 km per litre, is this normal? Mine is a 2 yrs Sonata.
if you do some Q-ing and have some bad traffic maybe 9.5km could be alright. 1 night calculation may not be accurate
driving taxi some time when you know at certain hours and housing estates, you may get more short trips then long trips . so being new you might not know at what area with type of pax(must sometime see their dressing)
So like what you have done, head back to town straight may give you better returns and trips

I don't mind short trips, however connection are usually bad, have to go back to the taxi stand and taxi queque again. Seams like heading back to town is more produtive.
Today first trip take call kenah put aeroplane. End up pick up 2 China man going to Tuas Reached Tuas, autoroam for 15 mins, took call and went out of Tuas. Luckily got call, if not empty out die co*k stand.
Ting tong x2 here and there till 3.45 last trip reached Bedok. Mind can't work anymore, empty all the way back to the west. It's the first time I clocked over 300km. The neck is very stiff, shoulder and back ache...... got to sleep.
Huh!, just 300km only, uncle me once clocked 600 per day hor, next week go 330 until you reach 400, if not weekend cannot book out

Today 6pm after collect car no mood to drive. Went to Bt Gombak to eat Teochew porridge leisurely till 7.30pm
First pax pick up a lady at Yew tee go Lor Lew Lian, she don't know the way, me too, GPS also cannot find. End up have to stop at bus stop half way to search GPS for the nearest location. Someone horn me, turn my head back, knn, LTA motor bike, scribbling scribbling. Went out of car to ask him give chance. He said: "I didn't stop you, you can go". Does it mean he give chance or I will kenah summon? Puzzled..... reached destination, stop and smoke for half hour, really mood all dies off.
Managed to pick myself up from the floor and carry on. Quite a number of trips town within town unintentionally. By 2am, stuck at Jurong, decided to head back town to collect more fare. However only managed to get another $25 for another 2 hours. Should have head back home and rest or watch TV.
Drove slightly more than 200km, profit is quite close to the 300km I drove last night.

Yes, knn, lao uncle me can hit 600 in one shift, you all young men must try harder , but mileage is mileage hor, make sure you drive and earn $$ more important

Yah... Last night 90% of my trip are within CBD area, small roads, seldom travel expressway.
Even when I empty from HDB area back to town non-stop can only clock 300km. I think it's because due to the speed I travel, other cars keeps passing by me on expressway.

Then ah peks ask me to drive casket, I drove but feel not so satisfactory, quite boring, and driving casket, how to hv passion, and because everyday cannot smile or laugh, so end up people said I smiless, boring and good for nothing. Then I took up taxi, drive silver crown until magentis, also got drive for cdg crown. And I realised I got more passion in driving taxis, in a way, at least more colorful than driving casket or working in yards.
And I realised that with passion, you become more happier, understand most seniors here are getting tired with TD, all due to the lack of the passion which they once had in their begining time, my advice to them is to relook into the option you have now, if nothing, built and carry on driving, drive with a smile.

the max i got before was 6xxkm for abt 16hrs with breaks in between.

Started at 5.30pm, drove for an hour then eat stingray at Newton, taste horrible. Continue to Orchard at 7.30pm, town within town till one fellow go RWS, from RWS go Upp. Serangoon then kenah army boy go back camp at Old Lim Chu Kang Road..... dam ulu.
Navigate out of the ulu place and reached Yew Tee, from there pax go Jurong, reached, checked summary, made $XX at 11pm. Went to fetch my wife for supper then keep. Very relaxing day.
