Definition : relieve off the burden of the hirer .
Correct ?
Since day 1 i start driving , being a relief driver is :
1.Pay around half of the full rental of the taxi .
2.Sunday is the off day for most reliefs .
3.Night drivers usually reliefs .
4.Reliefs do all cleaning & washing of taxis .
5.Relief must top up diesel and cng before handing over .
6.Relief do not sent vehicle for month servicing
7.Relief do not pay for season parking
8.Relief usually start at 5pm .
Anymore extra infos about being a relief ?
No relief since day 1... Everything's 包山包海...

but hor so far i only thrown key once n tats cause i move house change hirer........
Just for info...
Last time I relief for 1st citycab hirer, servicing at night at sing min ave and rental discount $10. No need to share carpark.
Later want me to tahan for him during his reservist (sometimes 3 weeks). I said cannot lah, he later found replacement and sacked me.
2nd hirer hv to share carpark, pump full and also compensate for distance from petrol station to carpark, about 2 km @ 1 ltr per 10 km.

SMLJ??? 2 KM means 200cc diesel? Which is about $0.23? Then I tell him how abt I pump liao put at kiosk ask him collect himself. Or if return him make sure I put L gear and drag all the 2 KM to his house....Lol
huh?? 2km frm petrol kiosk compensate?? then he frm kiosk to u got pay back??
And relief from day 1 i started driving , til now , still traditionally , market practise , will not entitle to any benefits .
Some say 7 days entitle , not lah , depends on hirers want to give or not , relief no rights to ask .
It's a priviledge , never an entitlement .
some hirer happy tell u "dun need pay rental today , free rental day" . this is one yr four times , that's priviledge .
Relief cannot face like charcoal if found out others have it , u dun have .
It also doesn't mean hirer no good , just that it depends on hirer himself .
And it is very fair ..... if relief were asked to compensate $20-$25 if last min never drive taxi .
Last minutes as in today drive , today then say .
Cannot like that , not steady .
What is steady ?
At least a day advance mah .
This type of conditions , must discuss before hand .

How to maintain a good relationship with hirer ?
Never ever think of ways to "eat" hirer , eg diesel .
Like uncle me , i never eat hirer one . Got hirer eat into me , i never eat hirer .
Like my hirer always diesel pump not enough , i would just pumped my usage , and little bit more .
I won't revenge purposely pump not enough .
Like that relationship very fast sour .
The problem is relief are not tie down by any specific rules and regulation, unlike hirer, who go into contractual agreement with the company with specific rules and Reg.
Therefore, the relationship between hirer and relief is alway at odds, but having said that, it is best to ho lai ho go, meaning u good, I good, dun hanky panky with each other, hirer stop those nonsensical demand, and relief be good and stay long, help hirer whenever he could and can.
Eg, for carpark fees, who will abitrate for both, meaning give you final judgement and decision, like you quarrel with someone, at least the police can be the middle guy to make a decision or in laws, you got the judge to tell you what to do.
There this relation is alway at odds and sensitive.
But let me warn all, if hirer and relief are alway at odds at end up hirer said cannot get relief and relief said hirer too demanding, then the authority may set in and said, ok, let me set the rules of the game, there will be no relief, only OMO (must drive at least 10 hrs per day) and 2 or more share a cab policy.
Then all these relief and hirer issue will be gone, once time up all taxis report back to station or sin ming to allow other to take over, I am just giving an example, with the recent news on flag no taxis from those silly paxs and LTA setting up committee, the rules of the game may change.
So, in the mean time, be good to each other

A lot of things they would like to implement, but they cannot do it now, cos it will not be fair.
There are still pte license yellow tops, which they cannot control at the moment
When all yellow tops taxi owner pass on, a lot of things can change
I predict the first thing to change is COE of taxis, now it is considered Cat A, cos they do not want the yellow tops to take advantage and want them to pay prevailing rates
If now COE of taxis is different (free / cheaper) , then pte yellow tops song song to jurong
