After 1 week of taxi driving, I find that OMO is not for everyone.
IMHO, TDs are basically trading time for money. The more time they spend on the road, the more they will earn. But everyone need a rest. The older you are, the more rest you need.
As for me, I just started 2 daily fixed trip bookings yesterday. Another pax asked for my namecard and will call/sms me for booking.

Hey, bro..good to hear you alive..
TD is a wonderful profession...most of our time, hate it and still got to drive it..
Judge by yourself, been OMO for so many years, age also catching up, the day I decided to give up limousine driving, most likely will opt for 2 drivers scheme also..
Happy Father Day....

You can still be an idle OMO if you drive Wish.
Like Pool said, 8pm, already in the carpark.
My Wish can be in carpark at 9am, or 11am, or 2 pm, 4pm. In fact anytime.

yeap u are right...
TD trade time for money...
actually if we do the maths... with a relief driver... we actually earn... work less hours... seems wierd... but tested and proven tru-out the generations...
unless u want flexibility and use of car... den different... omo...
fixed trips... inistially we might find it helps in our collection... but as we gain more experience... know where and when to find pax... fix bookings becomes a pain... when the time taken to travel for pick-up... and see pax along the way u cant pick...
if driving day... can always approach us if need any help...

I may be new, but I think the way to progress is
3 to 6 months = Just sweep. Learn where to sweep. Sweep, sweep, sweep.
2nd month onwards = Start to take Current Bookings, especially during Peak Hours.
6th month onwards = learn how to interpret Airport arrivals. Dont be a kayu, queue 45 mins to get a $16 fare from a 15 mins ride. It could be worse.
There are 2 things which I find quite silly (my opinion only)
1. Taking advance booking. This system really screw up your time/location management. Unless it is the first fare of the day.
2. Queuing at the airport for 45 mins, up to almost 2 hours, due to "try my luck".

Wah!, you got so much confidence that Wish can last 6 years.
I give them less than 2 years, and there will be major changes,
mainly because of the CNG issue.
The idea is to enjoy the benefits while it is available.
When benefits no more. Then decide what to do next.
