is there any phones in the market can use as GPS without subscribing to telcos?cos my stupid GPS too small to see the maps!

huh?? wat u mean?? its a smart phone cum tablet u can buy it without contract
well u can use google maps or watever gps apps out there for android platform
with an internet connection i can see y it cannot be used as gps

Why would you want a handphone "without subscribing to telcos"? What's the use of a handphone that cannot make a call?
For GPS purpose, invest in Garmin 2565. One time cost, No monthly subscription fee. Free lifetime map upgrade.
Alternatively, upgrade your handphone to Samsung Galaxy Note and use Google Maps to navigate.

GPS also prompt anyhow one. had to tell her last minute to go different way from what was prompted by her GPS. -

GPS is programmed to make its own route. It will get there 99% of the time.
Human brain is very complex and think differently according to traffic situation, weather, mood, etc.
Just that the calculated route might be different from pax's perferred route.

Like what some of the members said
- if u on Robot (Axxxxxx), get the Galaxy Note or Tab or S3 and installed the GPS software (mine using sygic navigator not that bad free somemore). In this way is a 2 in 1 functional that you can have it in your cab. No need so many gadget unless u want to impress ur pax.....
- if u on Fruit (Axxxx), pay for their GPS apps and also used it 2 in 1 functionality but need to pay lo...
- one more alternative is what also mentioned, use our pax as GPS too as they will be the best software to judge the journey unless the pax said "No preference" and u take control.
Just my 2 cents.....

is not i don't want to subscribe to telco,what i mean when using as GPS,will it be charge when the phone at that time only act as GPS!don't afterwards i get charge $500 000!
