STOMPer Farhana faced an inconsiderate and rude Comfort Delgro taxi driver when she was travelling from Woodlands to Outram Park on May 14 at around lunch time with her 1 year old daughter.
Her daughter threw up upon reaching their destination and she immediately apologised.
The taxi driver, however, passed her a bottle of water and a roll of toilet paper, and insisted she cleans the seat up before returning her ATM card.
The next passenger told the taxi driver off and refused to take his taxi upon witnessing this.
STOMPer has lodged a complaint against this taxi driver of car license plate SHA3510.
The STOMPer wrote:
"On May 14 at around lunch time, I called for a Comfort Delgro taxi at Woodlands to travel to Outram Park.
"The taxi's car license plate was SHAXXXXX
"It was fine throughout the entire journey but when we were about to reach our destination, my daughter vomitted in the taxi.
"I told the taxi driver that I was really sorry.
"It wasn't that messy and instead of offering help, he passed me a roll of toilet paper and a bottle of water and ordered me to clean up the seat.
"He was so inconsiderate!
"When I asked for my ATM card back, he told me to clean his seat up first before he would return it to me.
"Luckily, the next passenger told him off for asking a pregnant lady and a crying child to clean his seat.
"This passenger then decided not to take his taxi and walked away.
"Because of this incident, my one year old daughter is scared of people now.
"I have lodged a complaint against this taxi driver and I am still waiting for a response, this taxi driver seriously had no manners at all!"
is this the normal practice?
Pregnant? No big deal. That taxi is the livelihood of the taxi driver. It matters more than anything else.
knnbcb la. I ask my pregnant friend go her bed vomit see she ok or not? She horny my problem meh? If cabby help her, it is out of kindness. If cabby ask her to clean up it is fair!
人先告状 ?
Normally i would just asked : " Ma'am , dun mind , clean for me a bit , later i do a thorough one . For next pax going to take my taxi "
Fair ?
Or i just park aside . . . use my dettol clean , maybe just 5 minutes of my time , no big deal 5 minutes .
Perhaps that cabby did ask this way , still this auntie buay song . . . atm issue over exaggerate lah knn .
This is part of pax's version , we dunno what's the real thing ?
the mentality of ppl nowadays...
during our times, you hv a problem, you fix it yrself.
now....some ppl hv a problem, others pls understand and fix it for me cos i already say sorry, because it's a golden word.
graciousness is accorded by the giver, not demanded by the taker!
if my daughter vomit in other's car, isn't it PROPER to offer to clean up!
Pregnant women cannot do minor work like cleaning up? Expect others to UNDERSTAND and also must be COURTEOUS!
Reflect....I think it is a very serious issue of upbringing!
If any TDs encounter children crying all the way from pickup to destination soon, high likely they will vomit. I encounter this incident when a ah neh father let his kid with the pinoy maid from Great World City to Costa Rhu. The kid vomited and I quickly get the maid to clean up, too bad the plastic bag in my cab can't help as it gave no warning to me. I too had to get out and clean at the basement car park. Don't ever think they will pay you extra if you demand from them or they will only pay you exact metered fare. So if you have pax with kids, pray hard they fun do monkey stunts.
Like the other day..some TD got stucked in a small condo carpark and he was trying to get himself out.
Oncoming car refused to give way, so what happened? TD got outraged and felt he was wronged and where hv graciousness gone, so on and so forth.
It was obvious TD has got a problem getting out..so was it the other driver's problem?
If I was the TD, the other car had the right of way and I was blocking him, dun say sorry never mind,I would hv quickly gotten out of the way!
It's attitude and mentality.....
If you hv a problem, understanding and assistance from others are privileges which hv to be rightly appreciated, not loudly and shamelessly demanded!!
A lot of ppl hv forgotten that....

Advice to the passenger of taxi, the transport ministry had said taxi is a premium transport. So you have the courtesy to clean up the mess you created in the taxi. As for public transport like bus or mrt, if you purk any place, someone will definately clean for you. You can just pet your backside and go off.
its ALWAYS pax's fault
rem that!
if you created a mess, have a responsiblity to clean up, or pay a fee for others to do it.
You can feel sorry and say sorry, but without any action attending to it is worthless.
Pregnant and with a crying children is an Excuse for herself for no intention to clear the mess.

Agreed, at least compensate the TD, taxis is a commercial vehicle mend to make money, it is not a house or a bed where the owner can accept with an apologise.
But then, holding back the ATM card is not correct, that is personnal, there is no restuarant or shops you go that can hold your ATM or credit cards, they can call police or guards, but never hold others personnal belonging.
What I gather is that the connecting pax may had seen the vomit mess and avoided his taxis, not really about the commotion.
As for her young sweet daughter, one lesson she learned, never mess with TD, hope she grew up more gracious and appreciate other difficulties and more importantly, better than her mom attitude.
for me i dun care who u r as long u vomit inside my cab either u pay u or u clean up
else i confirm bo sua 1...............
Ya loh I also bu sua....but cannot hold back people ATM lah....
if dun hold atm card, she will just sorry and quickly get off...
TD back to sq 1!
Yet another low live, self centered fuck tard pax...... Really wonder wat is wrong with these pple, clearly her kid did damage to he veh n still wanna complain. Puke odor lingers for hrs!!! Heart pain to compensate driver then offer to clean up, simple no two ways abt it.
ome pax vormit can equals to two to three hours of downtime...
worst still... if its cchange shift.. and need time clean up... late in hand over... still muz compesate partner...
the way she wrote the email... haiz... no word say...
The TD is stupid to hold the ATM card lah. If the pax goes off he also LLST. What can he do? If the pax guai lan go report to police and the TD will tio also. ATM card nia, one call to the bank they replace for your FOC. Haha. Stupid to the max....
I do agree with poolman, pregnant chow cha bo with her daughter still have the bloodly cheek to file a complain against the TD and i hope that what's goes around comes around man for that chow cha bo!!!!

A lot of Stomper's articles are about people who LOUDLY DEMAND PRIVILEGES and SHAMELESSLY EXPECT CURTESSY.
I stopped going to their website for more than half year already.
