This has happened to me about 8 times in 4 months , mostly Ang mo Females , once had to let go of whole 35$ fare , they flag you or oncall sit in your cab tell you destination , you drive follow their instructions (if any) reach destination press meter tell them the fare and ask if they need reciept answer "no" and pretend to go through things in purse till the time ( i have now made a point to look at their eyes) till MDT clears then say "oh Uncle i was meaning to tell you i want to use "Nets" or "Credit card" at that time there is no way that i know of to use either as meter already clear so is MDT then they give you cash short 2 to 4 S$ saying sorry uncle , now if this happens once or twice ok but now to frequent today oncall Angmo lady did the same short change me S$2.50 now thats S$ 0.20 then the booking fee , is there any way to charge fare through Nets or Credit card once the MDT and Meter is clear , I drive Blue any help for senior bro will be highly appriciated not to mention to all TD bros to watch out ask before press meter cash or charge
Wait for them to pay then press to clear the MDT lah. Slowly, now ang mo having deep financial problem, you can also go to history to retrieve that amount
Reterving the amount is no problem but cannot use nets machine anymore it give card error or input error , i only press meter once it automatically clears the meter and MDT after few seconds , is there any way to use nets machine on retirived histroy ???
can still use nets or credit.
what you do, press start meter again like for a new trip and then after that press stop. then follow to proceed to charge their nets or credit card
after you swipe/tap the card machine, remember manual key the fare amount and enter, this one you should have learn in your MDT class. but of course details of trip time and distance all will zero
if they need a receipt with details, then follow issue a manual receipt,
Important thing is to be able to collect fare from them, also take note, if what ever happen again, bring them to the nearest ATM machine to draw cash, remember, sometime your cashless machine may breakdown, also go and find out, CDG cashless machine got a few spot cannot receive signal, so must process and key in extra before dropping the pax
i never let pax short change me, remember you got every right to collect full fare from them. some act blur, but you must be smart, must learn to handle them like pretend to call your call centre and report pax short change and being nasty etc. learn some tricks while being in this trade, read thru the forum and you may find some
these expats got their own forums and sometimes they kpkb TDs whenever they buay song. so one fella will pass on a tip on how to 'jiak' and some will try.
Try to make habit of leaving meter ON until everything is done and about to move then switch it OFF.

After every trip, there's this 'last trip' icon on your MDT... That icon is for pax who last min want to use cashless mode.
Simply clear your meter, than press the 'last trip' icon, it should go back to the last detail, than carry on proceed with the cashless payment.
Is not a new item, please know your MDT well..
Just to add-on...CDG had covered almost every loop holes from their state-of-art MDT...
Drivers who had gone through the upgrading programs at Turf City will know what I mean.
These days, there is almost close to nothing to complain on their MDT..except some click and hitch...
Just to reveal some info, once upon a time...CDG had sent numerous secret passengers to test out their system...taking taxi everywhere and anytime...giving all kind of problems to TD...to fine tune their system, and this is the extend CDG willing to go to...those long enough drivers will somehow recount what I had said......

I am a Blue Newbie. I thank you for bringing this up. Apparently, this is a loophole which Ang Mo females have learnt to exploit. Wake up Blue company before your drivers start to avoid such passengers!
You had to let go of a $35 fare because of this loophole. This is sad.
And this has happened to you 8 times in 4 months! And for Pax who CALL! for Taxis too! More will happen if you did not bring this up.
We have been trained to ask pax their preferred route. Very good training.
My 2cents worth advise for Blue drivers. Ask Pax their preferred mode of payment before switching on the meter. Have it recordered somewhere.

No Newbie can follow your advise expecially! If the printer does not work. This is a loophole which must be corrected.
Blues have the best MDTs' in Singapore. But if it allows Pax to cheat TDs', there is a problem with the MDT and Bluey must respond. Don't just collect rental and send TDs' for further MDT training.

You guys are right, your printer must be in working condition before you start plying the road, nowadays, manual receipt no more in use.
Give me a better loophole on MDT, I did mention about click and hitch.....
There's thousand queueing to drive CDG, they might be more desperate to earn that bit of money to feed the family....looking at some post on blue, why drive with anger?

Exactly, do one thing at a time, that was what I was implying, until all is clear, pax off, then press OP to clear, but knn, many want to take calls, want to chiong into Q with long line of paxs, end up stuck there, and worst if you jam up the Taxis Q, all behind start to horn, make you more messi
MDT is our cashier, I only pray it bring in more money, for that, it has to work. that is why i never hang anything on MDT.
Now i know why certain ang mohs reject all colours cab in Q to take a blue one.....so its because of such exploitative loopholes.

The percentage of having old version of Sapphire set is relatively low and it should be done long time ago....
Those having 738P, 728, 738C should not have any problems.

Ya man, I also drive them, be it ang mo or others to ATM, even for $5, its a matter of principle, one heavy raining morning a guy from airport want to use Net, said he only got $16 sing, dunno why there is no satelite/GPS, keep swiping cannot get rejected,
later said use credit, also cannot, then bring him to ATMs, also he cannot draw out, cos all no money at ATM, go another one also no money, nabei, end up he foot me Hongkong currency, but not bad, go exchange still get $2++ more, fare was $30, he gave me 1 X 100 HK$ +S$16 sing dollar. Kakis that I had spoke to had since upgraded to version 5.6.
All drivers should have a universal system use by the company.
Put it to my shoe, will bend table all the way..
Some Toyota crown due for changing don't mind the different, that one understandable..
After the last upgrading exercise, everyone should be universal...
These day, pax pattern more than badminton, get yourself gear up for all this nonsense, by paying the same rental as the rest, you should get things same as the rest..
Never short change by company.....
