hello friends and colleagues , i am a merc taxi driver , driving for comfort . I recently got a job , salary $4k a month . Working timing work three days , off four days . i intend to keep my merc to work during my off days . The rest just park there . it is good car to drive . Should i resign ? Or am i just stupid to keep the merc ?

I got many friends driving merc, all comments were good except
1 bad comment - merc beh tahan park !
you park there for 3 days a week, 1 mth later come and tell us can tahan or not ...

and you can get quite a good car for that amount (see below)
While yourelief out your Merc. (or you be relief)

I think the choice is obvious.
Note that the Pte Car will belong to you, say, after 2 years.
whereas you get nothing for the Merc, except to see it in the Parking Lot.
$1950 x 12 mths = $23,400
$1950 x 24 mths = $46,800
$1950 x 36 mths = $70,200

Actually not a bad idea to keep a while more la. I came across a few fella like you. They really love the experience of driving. Actually me too, fell in love with the skoda. To be honest, I can't bear to return the car. I go back service, shock absorber worn they also replace for me. Those ppl that like to drive one damn cham one in SG. Coz cost to high for you to enjoy a decent car. U work for 4k a month. what car u want to buy man? The most maybe a lousy toyota altis or a honda civic. What to do? See situation and act lor. Car so expensive, let you earn 8k also think twice buying a E220. Cling on for a while lor.... until car and fuel price drop, or chinamen and philipino start bidding to rent the Taxi. For now enjoy the moment as long as you can. Otherwise just the routine of making 4k and returning back to the government. But if you dun like driving, different story la.

Sorry to some Pax. The few dollars really don't make it worth while for me to expose myself too long for hazards. If any government dodo reading this, no choice baby, still got many people not living in debts in Singapore, so if you want? you make it illegal to put busy and go for break, because I know SG will never pay the people right. $6k for Taxi road tax wor. So greedy then want hungry dogs work for you? I looking forward to see what other stunts LTA will pull on TDs. Bo Hoh Kang joh tio. Singapore obedient no 1. No one dare to strike one. But yam cha no problem right?

Yes, those love driving and have no vehicle to drive, hands very itchy. Once I went back to work at woodland peng ba kwa for a period during CNY, told my casket supervisor and hirers, i will be away for a month. Everyday Mrt, feeder service bus, see taxis also siam, cos cost of living too high for me. Then after 1 week, hands very itchy, no steering to hold, go acade play the cheapest sega racing car with 10yo kids.
What 4k?? 4k is the norm, anything less is consider underpaid and poor class in today context of high inflation and cost of living. And 10k can just make it only.

Bro the insurance and road tax haven't count in leh. And the petrol cost also. And buying a private car also means huge depreciation and interest unless can one shot pay off.
I still queuing for the new W212 Merces E220. Alot of people says I siao. $160 rental a day. But hor say I buy new E200 from C&C will set me back $250K++ leh.....Say I drive 2-3months song song liao, buay tong liao then return to CDG I only forfeit my $2K deposit. If I buy new one drive few months sell I sure run road.....Lol
