wonder if they will jam the signals from our neighbour's channels.....
anyone know?
not likely . . . anyway if they are so good at it over my booster antenna , i'll be there to entertain them .
anyway , i never subscribe MioTV and Starhub TV over soccer broadcasting rights , felt it's KELONG between the two .
If Malaysia can broadcast free on air for their citizens , why not Singapore ?
There is no such thing call jam the free-to-air channel.
2010 world cup TV1, starhub can only disrupt TV1 at cable tv.
Free-to-air channels (Indon or Bolehland) can watch as usual.
Singtel/starhub æ ¹æœ¬å°±æ˜¯åž„æ–ï¼
, agreed.
Up to now, you guy should know that Singapore have no satellite, the best parabola antenna is at bukit timah (PIE exit BKE) and sentosa, unlike indonesia and malaysia who launch their own satellite thru Japan rocket program. Japan being the current sole commerical rocket/satellite launch for asia other than china and n korea
Under contract, like indosat, to broadcast free for them, afterall, the satellites were built and launched with taxpayer's fund.
Singapore have to tap on them, because our govt want to keep our money for their own use and do not want to benefit it citizerns,
Knowing that Singapore and singaporeans are rich, Indosat charge singapore heavily, and our telcos, taking this opportunity to further mark up the price to profit, so end up, you pay a high price to watch it. To our govt is why waste money on a statellite and also need to maintain it, might as well give themselves fat bonus and million paycheck. afterall, nor LHL or LKY are not football fan

I was a trained signaller during my NS reservist, vocation change, jamming is also my speciality, you hv to hv a better set of jamming signal to jam all other signals, and that takes alot of power, meaning high charges, when we deploy in the field, set up jamming set, 2 16v batteries gone flat within 3hrs of jamming just for a small area. And yet jamming do not completely cut of signal, just like a fishing net, some fishes still can escape and go thru, with a good dipole antenna, you can still receive slight signal.
And as for the cost of jamming, it is also bear by the consumers
From what I know, if they allowed it, they can jam just that particular 2 transmission frequencies.
Reception will be unwatchable, maybe just left with sound....
And it won't be that resource-consuming if it is for a limited period of the match duration.
It is still able to get at certain areas and places, jamming within a width band cannot block signal that goes above, sideway or low, the sky is the limit, , it is still a cost to them in term of power, manpower and equipments, singapore telcos all use line, the air is a space, if their jamming disrupt places like JB or Batam, they will get fark, therefore, they know where is their parameter, mostly those in the middle of singapore will be unable to receive, unless they get a parabolic with good receiver, which is ban in singapore in a disguise laws that you are of doing bookie jobs. Fair? Even private house cannot have it?? Fair?
And the extreme east and west are industrial and airport, which ultimately put you in middle of singapore, but I still get it, not so clear, one thing is to have a good receiver, like those FM and Radio receiver, not those $30 or 50 antennas at sim lim or local shop, that one CMI.
Once you have a good receiver, open the compartment, connect your dipole antenna (can make out of stainless steel wire, best is copper), dipole is a simple line across , maybe 1 to 2 meters on both side, connect the mid to your receiver, and connect the receiver to your TV. But warning, on thunderstorm, off it
Internet got a few sites not bad, very clear and most important free...
Delay by micro second but ok la, not going to post the sites here, wait kanna block..lol

Only half wings.......
knn Airborne at 20,000 feet just half wing??? legs also shaking and pee coming out...worst than jumping bedok R

Not airborne la, badge for signallers, I google 1..
But why half wing? Signallers can fly..
I stayed very near to Woodlands , unblock .
My house can see Johor some condos .
See if they can do anything better , i taking them on !
I just tried , still crystal clear .
Pai Seh , $69 hard to earn .

Airborne jump are all low altitude jump. Training jump at 1000 feet. Operation jump are usually around 500 feet
Freefall jump from 5000 feet up to 30000 feet from hop and pop at 5000feet to 30000 feet freefall to 3000 feet before deploying chute. Falling time is close to 1min and 10sec....make u feel like you are flying for that short period in the air
During my time, one sergeant jump and the white mushroom failed to blossom (parachute failed). And we will singing inside C130,
C123 rolling down the street, airborne ranger take a little trip, stand up push up thru the door, 1 2 3 by the count of 4...later exercise cancelled, heng ar.
There are many cases of free fall with failed parachute, one once during a NDP rehearsal, all the way down. Now SAF kaisu, infront got one small spare parachute, more heavier, but at least can pull at 500 to 1000m to save you.
Anyway, back to Euro, just remember, signal travel like sound, it has a wavelength, and travel straight, statellite act like a mirror (relay) to reflect the signal from europe into singapore receiver, than transmit thru lines to all household, if you got a parabola dish statellite antenna, you can receive it, and because of that, Singapore govt ban it. If everyone use it, singtel and starhub can go bankrupt.

Airborne and freefall jump all the while has been with main and reserve chute. Never change since the formation of parachute training wing in commando saf.
No lah me jump in 1978, where got spare one, cheebye, somemore parachute fold by prisoners
