Many of u stick to yhe fact that TD need to be hardworking,luck plays a v v small part. but why I always see long Q taxi waiting at taxi stands instead of driving to nearby area. He may need to wait for 15-30 min,whereas if he roam about he may get a pax in 10 min or so. someone told me these type of TD already cast in their mind:wait wait wait. No matter what they still wait. Reasons:only know to them.

trouble with sweeping is u don't know where the passenger is,sometimes at the wrong side of road,sometimes last minute put out hand,sometimes lao jiao taken already,sometimes they flag down blue or yellow sonatas,sometimes the road u pass by,not a single soul!

With regard to TD, that threshold can be achieve with a short few years, meaning after driving for 2 to 3 years, that is it, more or less, you know the in and out of TD. Whatever 实力 you have will become a norm in your day in day out driving.

Hard work is a must in every trade, but also have to work a bit smart and know your limit. Not work until end up at block 9 SGH, then that will be consider the extremist, not worth the life. As for luck, very simple, there will be no luck if you do not work, and as for skill or 实力, it a natural process that built into you after years of doing the same job, and each and everyone of us created our own 实力 which some like to booast about it and some just take it as part and parcel of TD

This is a simple bell curve, you can use it to intrepret many things, from school result to business etc, for TD, you start from the begining, you work happily and chiong all the way up, at the peak, you reach the highest point, the faster you reach it, the narrower is the bell, that peak is the threshold point of your TD trade, after that, all come down unless unless...
This come into the picture, you find a new way out or make promote one to newer or higher class of taxis.,...then you see the S curve up before dying, this will help you to carry on till maybe your retirement, or up lorry. Hope all understand this learning curve
