I always believe joining walkie group not for talking cocks , but mainly for quality jobs , traffic infos , general infos and Emergency SOS like kena robbery .

I remember once a Ah Tiong driver trailer accident with Khoon .
Khoon phone low batt , cannot take pictures , he SOS on walkie .

In every occupation, there is a threshold point, just a matter of how long it takes to reach that point, the longer it takes, the more creditability and skill is the job.
With regard to TD, that threshold can be achieve with a short few years, meaning after driving for 2 to 3 years, that is it, more or less, you know the in and out of TD. Whatever 实力 you have will become a norm in your day in day out driving.
After that, the diminishing effect take place, and that is where discipline comes into the picture, every occupation has it own diminishing effect, and again with regard to TD, most get bore and think of other jobs or lobangs to move on or out of this trade, this is natural in every sense.
To overcome such effect, you must adopt a open mind, a purpose, a balancing life and a passion of what you are doing, otherwise, please get out of it, because life is not going to be pleasant if you keep harping on what you had choosen and regret over it after 10 years or so of driving.
Hard work is a must in every trade, but also have to work a bit smart and know your limit. Not work until end up at block 9 SGH, then that will be consider the extremist, not worth the life. As for luck, very simple, there will be no luck if you do not work, and as for skill or 实力, it a natural process that built into you after years of doing the same job, and each and everyone of us created our own 实力 which some like to booast about it and some just take it as part and parcel of TD

If you take notice of TD trade, as a TD myself, individually speaking, nothing much change, rent a taxi, drive, pick, call, reach target, go home. What changes are the external enviroment that affect our livinghood and at times, change our way of plying the road. External enviroment are the Rules and Regulaltion changes, our life and family are expose to all these changes. Timing of surcharges, hiking of rental, price of fuel, change of peak etc etc are all agent of changes for us.
Nevertheless, whatever changes it is, it will not be paradigm change, meaning a big changes out of the sudden, the tactics of our govt is alway progressive changes, that is slowly slowly eat into you until you dunno what hit you. That is their skill.

I mentioned to many , i can judge most commuters , be in on the street or taxi stand , agar agar judgements .
Some people still dunno what i saying , that's for sure .
I can judge the next possible passenger for me , can pick or not ?
At some time of the day , some paxes really cannot do them favour one .
Like 10pm , do them favour sent 3 stops , AMK Yishun Woodlands , a big NO for me .
Cos it will hit my income hard .
I let Comfor drives deal with it .
U want 3 stops , pls call Comfort .
I can judge my next pax is multi stops or not ? And how i can dun pick and do it without LTA calling me up .
