They should activate more Traffic Police after mid-nite.
They wayang, wayang catch the wrong people. Problematic people are in the night, after drinking.
Speeding without drinking is dangerous, such as in day time.
Speeding and Drinking is fatalistic, normally after mid-nite.

U should all look at You Tube. Another bad crash at that same Rochor Road Junction. Video called Deja vu Rochor Road accident. Looks like it may NOT NOT NOT be a foreigner this time...hmmmmm....interesting.
Can't believe the police haven't done anything yet. Unbelievable. Is life so cheap in Singapore?

The solution to this 'jinx junction'....
is to build a viaduct over it.

until the next junction aolongt Victoria Street.

Once again , i love to tell Traffic Police or LTA , that overhead traffic light located at the pedestrians crossing ( before Rochor Road junction ) , shoudn't be there at the first place !!!
Should be taken out to cause less confusion .
Many drivers out there , always kept thinking , overhead traffic lights can only be found on Main Junction .
So they might just thought it's the main one .
Ironically , there was no Overhead Traffic lights at the Main Junction !!!!!

It's made for pedestrians .
Yes no doubt .
They care to explain to why there wasn't a Overhead Traffic Lights at junction ( towards Lavender direction ) ?
So let's move the pedestrains crossing to the main junction . For everyone's safety , a bit troublesome for pedestrains , still it's safer for everyone .
Take out the first pedestrian crossings or take out the overhead traffic lights and move it to the main junction .
Or instead , areas there enhance the lighting there , make it brighter at night . and plant a new Amber Blinking Alert before pedestrians crossings .

And there shouldn't any blocking of views at any junction !
That junction due to some tunnel works , many fences and aluminium wall was erected , a hazards for all drivers .
Blocking views of incoming vehicles from all directions .
Many accidents was occurs there , started recently with the road works .

2 junctions so close apart literally, so later ppl really see wrong light how? Now is pedestrain get knocked.
NEVER ASSUME. If what you post is because of that, I guess tat's why accidents occur.

Sure or not?I see at AOH.. End up the Bayfront/ Temasek crossing, all TD go tailgate each other into near accident.. Cos cannot wait.
So many ppl crossing got AOH also like tat alrdy.. Dun say everyday...

Got road works is alrdy supposed to slow down n look out.Need me to say hearing ppl horning at Woodsville road works w/ the road bends.. I shouldn't be hearing if ppl keeps a lookout for narrow bends.

Anyway figure this...
The road distance in between major junctions..
Between Bras Basah Rd & Middle Rd: Est 0.4km
Middle Rd & Rochor Rd: Est 0.4km
In total it's abt 0.75 - 0.8km range... Take it the car was speeding at say 90km/hr.
Now, usually there's abt 5 - 10 sec for the green arrow to allow cars to turn right into Rochor Rd for the opposite direction... Say 4 sec of signal changing intermediate time... Accident occured at the 8th second.
The car might have been at Middle Rd junction and speeding past it when e Rochor signal went red.
Scary leh..
