[Poll] Which shift is the better one ?

Day shift 5am - 5am ?
Night shift 5pm - 5am ?
Or OMO 6am to 8pm ?
Or OMO 1pm to 1am ?
Or others . . .

Best shift 7.30 am (no school-going mad rushing crowd) to 5 pm.
My observations after driving almost 2 yrs night relief as newbie:
Night scenery less colourful, everything orangey, you know the amber street lights.
Trips were rather monotonous, mostly send pax home then rush back to town.
Quite often when pax (those not straight from work or during weekends) board, straight away can smell urine smell. Why? They just went to toilet and stepped on urine. Somemore some can say "uncle, your cab got urine smell!".
Night, esp after midnight, more dangerous for TDs because he himself and others tend to speed while being less alert and visibilty is also poorer than day.
Some lull nights after midnight can be very moody and required a lot of self-discipline to stay on the roads/hunt for pax.
OMO? No life...

The best shift for day n night is 4-4. at 4, not much cab on the rd,easier to find pax.
For OMO, i suggest they start from 4am-6pm for mon-fri n 2am-2pm for sat&sun.
never underestimate the power of 50%surcharge. if heng heng ,u can cover the whole day overheads within 4 hours. futhermore, nite pax are more generous in tipping.
Advice to omo td, do find someone to relief one or two days. U need rest.

Part A = 6.30am to 11.30am
Mid-Shift Break, Afternoon Power Nap at least 1 hour, followed by
Part B = 4.30pm to 11.30pm
Go home, shower and sleep.

Wonder anybody know about hawkers life? Most days, some don't earn that much also, sometime even just enough to cover rental, but stall still need to open and mend.
Of course if you sell good food, knn, 4 hours can closed shop liao, famous one in Hougang, midnight curry rice...lol
Think about that.....TD not much different from those hawkers, work smart, not work hard....than don't follow Poolman too much, bad influence...lol

Most jobs if you tired, at most you drop the plates.
TD tired, fall alseep on steering wheel, wake up in the hospital.

best timing for omo of cos is split shift lah, 7.30am to 11.30am, 3pm to 11pm.. but no time for leisure.. so best is still 7.30am to 7.30pm ( like office hours).. if anyone willing to offer this timing, i will gladly be a relief but this timing very hard to find...

OMO timing best is 5-6am start and ends when the sun comes out about 10-11am. Then evening 4-5pm start then ends around 9-10pm. Fri can stretch longer till cover weekend rental. So weekends can relax and go gai gai. Like that still got a life right?

Some relief start work 5am , afternoon by 2pm keep liao .
Sounds like 5am to 3pm is good for OMO , then stretch a bit until 7pm , would be very ideal . To like cover rental for the invincible "relief"

5am to 7pm is the best timing .
Got decent salary , got life , like see news @ Ch 5 , 8 and CNA , catch up with the global developements .
Oversee children's homework .
Talking to wife .
Some cooking if required .
Or bring family out for dinner .

My shift as OMO,
sometimes start at 1pm end at 1am
somtimes start at 3pm end at 1am
sometimes start at 7pm end 5am
sometimes start 8pm end 6am
best part abt omo, suka suka start and suka suka end when i like...lol....my style even worse than JLKL like that if i want to be a relief how to find a hirer for my pattern??

Most td here always say they want to work smart n not work hard. Without good foundation,how u work smart? hold a talkie on hand, hide under coconut tree wait for durian to drop?Newbie are suppose to sweep n learn different locations. Can never follow chief's working style. He has more than 10 yrs experience n know how to play the game.
My hirer once told me he can handicapped me 3 hrs any time. Why he said this? Is because he is armed with 28 yrs of driving experience with solid foundation plus an ex-limo driver. I ever ask him matter on talkie group. He said as a normal cab driver,just handled cdg calls is sufficient. Too much kakis will kill your earnings.
