some country like malaysia u can buy driving license. they bought a license in malaysia , then came to singapore to convert , its equal to buying a license in singapore. singapore must seriously looked into driving license conversion. to convert a driving license , one must go through basic theory . final theory and driving test as well.

Back to taxi issue , new citizens trying to become a cabby must possessed not only 3 years driving experience , it must be at least 10 years before u can drive a cab. 3 years driving and 5 years reside in sgp is never a guarantee u can be familiar with singapore . Nevermind , one fine day , just one fine day one new citizen cabby rammed into any bus stop or mrt station then those TP will scared one. Now they never scared one .

Singapore should also look into workers with work permit to drive in singapore , bangala and indian drivers are a hazard on the road knn you never encounter you dun noe one . i enounter numerous times . their driving cannot make it lah. bogus license . kopi o , so obvious .

Drivers may soon need a different licence to get behind the wheel of a bigger, more powerful car. The proposed changes, which may be modelled after the system for motorcyclists, whereby riders chalk up experience on smaller bikes before moving on to bigger ones, are believed to be part of a wider review on driving licences. While it is too early to tell how the changes may affect drivers, one industry body backing such changes said on Monday that it was 'a timely move' as the issue of motorists' behaviour has been a hot topic since a fatal accident involving a Ferrari and ComfortDelGro taxi on May12. A police spokesman confirmed on Monday that a review on driving licences was ongoing but was 'unable to share more details at this stage'.

So what if they drive their daddy's car, they can also without putting the Triangle Plate to bluff TP. As for Bangala and Indian drivers, Sunday off day also dare to drive company lorries to fetch foreigne workers to little india to earn side income. They drive so fast and the company just let their drivers do what they liked and not discipline them. Should have hefty fine if caught violating the new traffic rules. -

Yes i agree TP's moves to categorize in driving a Super Car , meaning u might need Class 3A to drive a Ferrari.
As for new citizens trying to drive a civilan car , no conversion allowed . Must go through actual course like what we did !
Bogus license can be found anywhere in JB , what u need it's MONEY .

Class 3A can only drive Automatic Car. Cannot drive manual car.
Class 3 can drive both Automatic and Manual Car.

Oh now got Class 3A ?Then should be Class 3B for Super Cars .
Must sent to Italy to take Ferrari driving course .
If can afford a Ferrari , surely can afford to go Italy take course .
If got time to ride a Ferrari in Sgp , surely got time to go Italy take course .

When I took my driving course, I was told that holders of Class 3 can drive both Manual and Auto vehicles. Holders of Class 3A can only drive Auto Vehicles.

1 for under 1.6L
1 for 1.6L - 3L
1 for 3L n onwards

I also felt the probation period for new citizens trying to drive in Singapore , instead of 1 year for Singapore citizens .
Should be 3 years for Permanent residents .
I mean put the triangle sign board inside the car .

They should give IQ and EQ test for Supercar drivers, only scores of 140 IQ qualify.
I am sure most won't qualify.
Most Supercar drivers are buffoons and the typical ah bengs.

Bro nowadays small CC cars also powderful one hor.....Mai siao siao....I test drive my friend's poor man Audi. A VW Jetta 1.4 TSi. The pick up is faster then our CDi. 0-100 just about 8 secs. Twin charged engine coupled with a 7-DSG gearbox, wah the gear change so seemless. He go lower the car really look like the A4. Lol

at least they dun get too much power frm those lower cc cars..........
like mazda legendary rx7, 1.3L but rotary engine equivalent to 2.6L car...........
