Around 1pm , one Sonata was spotted on fire along PIE , towards AP ( edited ) .
The second time in two weeks .
Time to buy extra insurance coverage .

A taxi burst into flames along the Pan-Island Expressway on Tuesday afternoon, on the stretch of highway towards Changi Airport and near the Old Police Academy.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted at about 12.45pm, and sent a fire engine, one Red Rhino and two fire motorcycles to the scene. The fire was then put out ten minutes after their arrival, using two hosereel water jets.
According to SCDF, no one was injured. They are investigating the cause of the fire.
Just two weeks ago, in April, a ComfortDelGro taxi had caught fire in the Kampong Java tunnel of the Central Expressway, causing a massive traffic jam. No one was hurt in that incident.

i just saw one Sonata broken down near my house...........
sat in one before and inside rather new but a lot of vibration and noise.........

On a serious note . . . good chance for terrorist to explore .
Another way to cause chaos , no need bomb , just hirer any Sonata , blow that god damn vehicle into flame , then insurance pay for terrorist .

Two months back, One night while I sent a Japanese to T1.
A City Cab caught fire on the ramp up T1, Rumor the Pax baggage also gone.
