South canal road and North canal road

I am a bit confused.
Question is:
South canal road and North canal road has not bus lane,Could we free pick up & drop off ?

check the map given by LTA,on the CBD area!of cos can!it's shaded white,so can!

If outside cbd restricted hours, any road also can. right?

Pick up ? If got , take and hopefully dun kena snapped by ambush tigers .
Dun be desperate and pick and in the end kena one summon 10x more than the taxi fare .

Hello, during CBD hours, very simple, pick and drop at Taxi stand only, Those buildings with lobbies for dropping off is ONLY for dropping, NO PICKING UP.
For weekdays including Saturday, after 8pm, CBD no laws liao, pick and drop as you like.
For public holidays including Sunday, also no laws liao
But rules and laws are man make, and man make a lot of mistakes, so if you think you want to be superman, anywhere also can pick and drop. New rules stated, No demrit points, only heavier fines. Meaning, they still want you to slave for them, and also want your money.

to answer your query, you are in not allow to pick up any passengers along the road inside CBD operational hour. but you are allow to do so as below:
LTA Eases CBD Taxi Rules from 1 March 2012;
Operational Hours and Penalty Aligned with Full-day Bus Lane Rules
1. From 1 March 2012, operational hours for the Central Business District (CBD) taxi rule will be shortened and aligned with the full-day bus lane operational hours. With the revision, the CBD taxi rule that requires taxis to only pick-up and drop-off passengers at taxi stands and on the driveways of buildings along roads where public buses ply will be shortened by 2.5 hours to between 7.30am and 8pm (Monday to Saturday, except Public Holidays), from 7am to 10pm currently.

If says public bus ply on one way street like Shenton Way, Robinson Road, Cecil Street, are we allow to alight pax on the right side of the road? Cos bus stop is only on the left side of the road right?

With effect from Monday, 17 March 2008, taxis will be allowed to pick up and drop off passengers from side roads in the CBD where buses do not ply. The CBD rule for taxis will continue to apply on roads that have public buses plying. On these roads, taxis can only pick up or drop off passengers at taxi stands or on driveways of buildings between 7am to 10pm from Mondays to Saturdays, except on Sundays and public holidays.
