There are 2 types of stress, one is good stress, the other is bad stress.
Good stress is a need in our daily activities inorder to motivate and churn ourselves to move on, it helps our brain cells to function well and yet gives us better coordination in motor skill of our limbs and body. Such stress are your day in and day out working or driving a cab life. Jobless and retirees people lack of this, that is why they need to do something to stay active. So, if you are a cabby, drive your cab, dun idle and start to think of thing not suppose to think.
Bad stress are stress that you do not call for it, however, most are self created, bad habits like smoking, sleep late, over eating, worrying, overly fear of this and that, gambling, womanising, and so on.
The key to good driving and living is, be simple.

Good one bro,
can't agree more.
Alway allow mistakes, give yourself options in life, you notice that whatever we wanted in life can never be 100% really turn out to be what we wanted, as simple as wanting to eat a bowl of laksa at a FC, turn out to be eating Lor Mee, cos the Lor mee there is said to be famous and good, a gathering at some location can also turn up in another location because of this and that...hardly can you control the destination, not to mention that if you are a TD, first trip to AP, can change your day.
Since destination in life is somehow beyong our full control, we can only guide it base on things that are within our self and control, and that is our good basic principles of life, the direction and priorties.
Principles of what we are and what we want, write is down, state priorites of thing to do and set direction, review, change and move on. The key is to set achievable and realistic principles and goals, not that as a casket driver, I ask myself to take a Phd is really unrealistic. It is not easy for some cases, like quitting smoking, can do quit in 6 months time?? However, if is achieved, the immerse glory felt is really enormous.
Dun think too much now. Put other things aside, get your TDVL first.
No more online TDVL course.
Express/Full day course is 6 hours a day for 3 weeks
Normal/Part time course is 3 hours a day for 6 weeks.
TVDL courses are conducted by STA (6472 7351), Comfort Transportation (6550 8681), SMRT Taxis (63690111).
Call the 3 companies above and check with them their earliest date available for your intended course (full or part time).
When you received LTA's approval letter, dun go to SATA, as it will take 2 to 3 working days to get the medical fitness certification paper. Check with StriveOn how he get it on the same day.
As I said, give yourself options, not that you must take TDVL< you can also try PSA crane licence, casket driving licence (more easier than TDVL), Pets driver licence, Toxic and chemical driver licence...so many, make yourself valuable, not just slave to one trade.
I forgot to mention that I need to get about 4k a month from driving a cab, I read that 2k is minimum, but a single shift 12 hours I can do whatever it takes.
I'm studying part time also, and I have to pay maintainance to my soon to be ex-wife as well as rental for my room that I'm staying. That's why I say 4k minimum.
Which options has the best chance of getting 4k a month?
Sometimes if i feel stress and happens to be at choa chu kang way, i will stop along the road side smoking and watching this leaf.

2. I intend to drive 12 hour shift everyday, but which timing should I choose to make the most money? I am in need of cash to pay for my mother's medication.

if overworked and/or accident due to lack of rest, you'll have to pay for your own medication too, good luck bro!
