Well at least he earned 7 K a month previously.
He probably hasn't declared the few hundred K of CPF monies which is waiting to be drawn at 55 and 65 years old.

Infront F pap,
than support from behind......
This story is very common now. Just go to the coffe shop, or even your block ground floor. Look for a man that looks educated and start talking to him. SAME STORY.
I supported the ruling party until 2 elections ago (about 8 years ago) when I realised that they are out of touch and not too concerned about our problems.
I likened Singapore to a very prosperous company, but the workers are paid miserably. The Management (Ruling party) filled the pockets while the workers (citizens) struggle day to day.
So what if you a World Class (High GDP) company when the workers (citizens) are trying to make ends meet.
I went through the same shit as this guy, but I took to Taxi Driving because it is an interesting profession that meets my needs. Because the number one reason why I was robbed off my job in the corporate world (due to FT) will not happen in TD profession.
At least not for now......
Govt talk so much, give so much impressive talks and results on media and papers.
End of the day, if the people doesnt feels and benefits from it, all those cocks and bulls from them also no use la.
History have proven, no POWER last forever.
At least i hope its within my lifetime to see such dramatic real changes in Singapore and i hope more will step out of their comfort zone too and not by force circumstances to see such changes in our country and thats my only death wish for now. Hahahaha..

Singapore has become a young foreigners' heaven.
As TDs, we see them day in day out taking our taxis, at times more than local singaporeans, local aunties and uncles save money for children's education, old age and raining days, whereas foreign maids can take taxis go around with boyfriends happily. Foreign talents can bossy us around and sometime scold us for taking the wrong turn, nabei, the owner of this country had became the slave for others
PMEs is more precise, the T is for technician, technician is no more a profession other than a namesake for workers class.
This is very common, more local PMEs, the so called sandwiched class are getting from bad to worse due to foreign invasion ending up with depressive paid structure and yet, with no help from govt.
The govt alway said, PMEs are the workers of tomorrow.

Last month there was this mini-star who came out to lie that the gahman created these two IRs to provide 60,000 jobs for S'poreans! Tiu nia seng! This kind of outright lie he also can tell!
don't think much sg want to work at the 2 resorts, heard from some staff there, the pay is very low and long working hours... if work in casino even worse, have to face those temperamental gamblers.
what choice do Singapore man CAN DO?
the worst part is to ferry maids and their Bangla or Indian boyfriends to Geylang, what to do still need to tak them!they will be enjoying cuddling and kissing at the back of the taxi,we gotta tolerate!fcuck the maid!
well i really miss the singapore during the 70s & 80s
where true singaporean kids run & play around at HDB corridors
all the neighbours know each other.life was so simple & good.
now you can see many china & india FT kids instead
playing at playgrounds & studying at our local schools.
i have to admit some are really iritating....
And also who can forget the channel 8 local series during that time
Quality dramas acted by true blue local actor & actress.
now even TCS get FT actors & actress,no wonder the series sucks big time now
phui
PMEs are also called the sandwich group, mostly in their 20s to late 30s, these group are the first Y gen if you are talking about local PME. Being sandwiched because they came in an era of high cost of houses, cars and many other items that is essential to them.
The top 20% are well off, no policies changes is going to affect them much, most are earning 60k and above per month, individually or combine income. The lower 20%, people like me, in the lowest 10% are happy go lucky type, eat koptiam can already, 3 in 1 also can do, wear cheap clothing and flip flop unless companies provide uniform like my casket company. The govt do help in a way by given rebate and bursary, but the cost of living is still high for the lower group.
The sandwich group, which is the mid 60 percent are the worst, they want high class living and yet cannot get much subsidize, unlike lower class, they go for branded and posh resturant, travel in SIA, tour europe, japan but for some, never even know where is Duxton road and Rangoon road in singapore. Then must hv the latest Iphone, drink at $20 per bottle tiger, ipad, galaxy and condo and so on. And that is where they get taxed the most, spent the most and end up even with a 10k paycheck, they still hei hei chuan.
Money is not about how much you earn, it is about how much you saved.
