  I used to play this "game". Nothing beats the 90s, those days before Citycab started, my cab was already a citycab. Plastic oncall sign too, always on.

  Those days I only 'curi curi' drive from 7pm to 1pm on  some weekdays. Midnight take 1 pax, enough, if got 2 or more, very kucky. Still after everything can make $50-70. Don't forget fares were lower then so $50 then had a slightly larger lasting power. Anyway it was just to supplement my policeman pay. I not corrupted but needed to find alternative source, so this may be breaking porcedures, but not commiting a crime.

  Then after a long break I resumed 2 years ago, and of course after a while resumed this. However after escaping with a warning from LTA after an Ang Moh complained. This now got fine and 2 weeks penalty, so I decided to refrain. I do it sometimes but rarely.

  So I 2nd guess pax nowadays, agak agak where they want to go, judging from appearances, etc.  Sometimes get it right sometimes wrong.
