CDG no security deposit meh ?
My viano no need...
For these business people, they somehow already rental out all those cabs from Cdg, premier or transcab, mostly old crown, taxi companies also give them, because they also do not want to see their carpark full of old crowns not in use. Therefore, in bulk, they give discount to all these consider bulk hirers.
These business people are licensed to do business, they absorb the risk of insurance at the expense of higher rental fees, let say if cdg rented to them at 20% discount, they rent out higher by 20%, altogether, they make 40%, why not? To attract people like me and TS, they forgo the deposit and take the risk, business is about risk, if they ask me to pay, might as well I go cdg or others as relief.

Beach Road @AMK Blk 444, you have to pay around $88 insurance at Premier.
I met another driver who told me at Blk 574 AMK there's another type where you don't have to pay that insurance too, but as Bowah says, I think the rental is slightly higher.
The drawbacks: Old vehicle, unless you can commit regularly, it depends on demand and supply, you might not have a cab to drive when you want to.
Premier, even as a relief, you also need to pay $1000 deposit and $88 per year insurance +$20 per year admin charge, for hirer, I believe just paid the $1000, no need the $88 +admin charges.
Most people like me freelancer will sure to choose those that no need to pay anything except rental fees, because I am not I am going to drive for them for a year, that is why, you also see many silver cabs open back booth at AMK, can pick and choose.
I did enquire from Beach Rd Taxi, Sunny. U have to go Changi Premier office pay a $80.80 insurance and attaend a 2hrs Taxi meter course. After that, u can proceed to Sunny to collect ur vehicle. No deposit required. Drive as and when u want. Happy then drive. Not happy then dun drive. This is the info i got.
