5pm to 6pm. Normal hour, less cabs on the road.

5pm to 6pm used to be peak hour with 35% surcharge. Now it is normal hour after the latest fare revision. At this hour, less cab on the road and long queue at taxi stand. I urge 5pm to 6pm to revert back to peak hour because it will benefit the passengers. Passengers have to waste time in taxi queue waiting for cab between 5pm to 6pm because it is normal hour. Passengers do not have problem catching a cab after 6pm because it is peak hour. To resolve less cabs on the road between 5pm and 6pm, I urge LTA, PTC and all taxi companies to revert 5pm to 6pm to peak hour.

Was at NUH today taxi stand. Long queue at taxi stand and hardly see any taxi. All the taxis disappeared. Sharp 6pm, suddenly all the taxi appear and the queue clear very fast.After 6pm is 25% peak hour surcharge and passenger has to wait to pay the surcharge. I think it is not a win win situation. Revert 5pm to 6pm from normal to peak and let passenger pay 25% surcharge so they do not need to waste time waiting till 6pm to pay the surcharge.

At 5pm to 6pm, one should make some calculation whether it's better to book a taxi, as the booking fee is only $2.50.
If the trip is expected to be more than $10.00, it makes sense to book a taxi.

Taxi driver normally pump diesel, wash car, bank in their collection and take their meal during normal hour.

Same problem will occur at 4-5pm if revert back to 5-6pm.....
Maybe only whole day peak hr will solve the problems..........

5pm, many customers pang kang. Best time for taxi loh but no peak hr.. 4-5pm, give peak I dun one. 8pm to 11.59pm, give me peak for what, got taxi no customer, all pang kang liao, go home liao, jia pah kua tian si kee.

U follow what we did , we as in those seniors , we have been doing that for years , and what u guys enjoying now , it's what we have done .
What we did , we can say we boycott , or hide , or dilly dally , or take our own sweet time ..... but we also never lost our income , we take calls .
When u have to made commuters pay more , they will complaint !
And that's what we wanted ...........

Why PTC wanted that 25% to be extended til 12mn ?
Cos too many complaints that between 8pm to 12Mn hard to get a cab outside CBD !

Why did Sunday have that CBD surcharge and 25% after 6pm ?
Cos no surcharge , no motivation to work .
Commuters want cab , no cabs , call also no cabs , complaint !!!!

I head Tuas area .
Mind you , i am driving a TransCab , our calls can chose all u want .
I always thought i am the only taxi at Tuas at that moment .
Reject calls until i happy , and MDT still crying : " Can help plssssssssssssss."
No MDT , unless got destination .
Yes now we have plenty of calls with destinations .
I reject until shiok then wait for LV to page for jobs .

in Tuas.When you go to the rows of JTC factory along Pionner Road, At least 20~30 CDG cabs there.
