Cabby swerves recklessly to pick up passenger

STOMPer Dat Mago was incensed at the actions of a taxi driver, who swerved into his lane recklessly to pick up a passenger. When confronted, the cabby challenged the STOMPer to 'give me a fine lah'.
The STOMPer wrote:
"I was sending my wife to work, with my 2 children, when this taxi driver dangerously cut into my lane to pick up a passenger who flagged him down.
"Luckily, I managed to jam the brakes although it caused me to skid a little bit. The car behind nearly knocked into me as well thanks to this driver.
"To make matters worst, he even said to me, 'fine me lah. What the hell, man'.
"Luckily, I have a dashboard installed to record this incident.
"So, taxi drivers, please don't jeopardize the lives of other people!" -
some taxi drivers give the rest a bad rep...
just like the other night, a speeding merc cut behind a taxi (one of those sonatas) on the right lane on the PIE...
when the merc tried to overtake, the taxi would also accelerate to 'block' the merc..
this went on for a while until the merc had some clear and open space and sped off.. the taxi sped up too as if to give chase but gave up because the merc had horsepower advantage on the taxi...
there was no right in this incident.. both were driving recklessly...

Honk honk lor, knn they spend so much money on the honk, must use it once a while. But I use to heckcare them.Honing in some countries is consider normal and courtesy, only in Singapore is consider rude and silly.
In India, wherever a vehicle want to pass by you, it will honk, you hear so many honks, but no accident even in a messy road, same goes to vietnam and china. Knn, Singapore, road so systematic and good, still many accidents.

1. You drive slowly ==> it's not your fault. Motorists who honk at you are at fault.
2. You drive fast then you e-brake or swerve violently ==> it's all your fault, and one of these days, you're gonna get into an accident.
At least for scenario (1) your conscience is still clear.
For scenario (2), in the best case scenario your conscience will be burdened, and in the worst case scenario, you willl end up six feet under.

Yes, and motherland taxi meter is also world class, from 165000dong within a minute can change to 1650000 dong. I farked the driver until he adjust back to 16500 dong only, knn, I told him I got brother in vietnam too, so do not play play with me, he hears already also scare, adjusted back to 16500. which is about 1 dollar sing. -
Epica got a twin exhaust, in long run it will take up more diesel, giving out more exhaust faster and efficient, twin exhaust clear unwanted exhaust air fast, leaving the engine clean for the next combustion, but it will take more fuel, however, it will have a cleaner engine to compensate it.

now is 11,000 VND starting fareAround S$0.67
Starting fare is fix and cannot change
but they cheat by going longer distance
nv blame them ...coz I do likewise.

remember this: this was NOT an attack on taxi drivers.. most are safe drivers.. when i needed to take cabs for work, most were safe, there were a few maniacs, including one who drove his cab so fast on an empty AYE, i was in Clementi from Tuas within 10 minutes... i am not kidding
this was an observation of reckless driving by a speeder in a merc who was blocked by a taxi driver...
do not be so quick to jump to the defense of the indefensible because lives of not only the drivers, but the passengers in the taxi and also the innocent road users around the two idiots driving like retarded schoolyard bullies
maybe it is the "skill" of these types of drivers that cause the contractors who maintain the barriers of the PIE to be rolling in money because they seem to be smashed all the time...
