  Ist March 2012. Bus lane inside CBD end at 8pm. It is not at offense to pick passenger at taxi stand or taxi stop inside CBD, I can pick passenger any where along the road side. Say Takashimaya, taxi stand, long queue for taxi, can I pick a passenger at the road side which is 50 meter away from taxi stand?

  Yes. But remember the rules, if near to a taxi stand that is unoccupied, you must pick up at the taxi stand. And if it is along double zig-zig yellow lines, there's no stopping at all times, same goes for bus-stops.

  Well those are the rules, doesn't mean I follow them, but must be aware of who's watching!
