when the time is near to collect your tdvl, i suggest you look around any hirer staying nearby you and be relief, have a taste what being a taxi driver is like, get some understanding. then you decide you want to be hirer or not and which taxi coy to pick.
still a long way and things might change for the better or worst for and taxi coy.

khoon drive taxi half a year plus... already see so many tat started later then khoon... straight go into hirer / omo... den quietly leave the trade... why?

start as relief... your hirer sure wil have some days let u drive full... den u will feel the impact of the difference... den you can make an informed decision to go into omo anot...
there is onli so much our boday can do...
taxi driving is veri weird one... it is not drive longer hours earn more...
plus as a new bird... u wont hav enough energy and experience to bring in the same amount of $$$ compared to a seasoned omo...
not saying cannot be hirer / omo... but start from basics... relief no pressure... end of shift put rental in the taxi... fuck off liao...
omo... wake up onli... muz think 100+ rental... 50+ diesel ... erp cost... parking cost... all upfront cash hor...
rental - taxi company most let u owe three days? but snowball lor...
diesel - no diesel... taxi can move meh?
erp - cashcard muz hav $$$ inside when u start your sshift right?... even though is charge to the pax...
parking - hdb says muz buy the balance days for current month plus one full folllowing month hor...

first day overhead when start engine = zero dollars... (juz hav enough in your cash card and lose change)
coz end of shift den top up diesel... give hirer rental when handover... at most additional cost to wash car...
by then... even as a newbie... more or less will hav enough collection to cover these cost... plus earn your eat rice money...

some poeple like JLKL (actually he also hav a SAT relief)... jackpotlok... made it as a OMO...
but ask yourself first... do u hav tat kind of discipline like JLKL? everyday same time start... same time end...

being omo depends on individual needs and skill plus knowledge and intelligent.
go hunt for hirer, a good one will also be able to guide you thru this transition period,

i'm not married but i got few elders needed my assistance in fetching them going medical appt/ treatments. An uncle with stoke on wheelchair n most cab wont fetch, my God-ma with diabetes n weak pair of legs, going up bus hard for her to climb hard for her to get down, mum with anemia n depression, will blackout at times when walking too far or going up bus. To them taking taxi, they cant really afford esp they r not working.
Important point, its time to repay them now. When they r healthy, they took care of me when i'm young. now that they r old n sick, its time i do my part esp my mum n god-ma. when god-ma is childless.
We all staying different areas, bedok, cck n marsling. Everytime i see god-ma come visit me n my mum i felt so heart pain. old n weak and need to travel so long distance from marsling to bedok. Sg might not be big but the mental for her is tiring. Everytime mum go visit uncle or god-ma, come back sure tired out due to the travelling n times falls sick. i may not have enough $$$ to give them but i just wan to bring them together for dinner n family gathering as time for them also not going to be very long. at least let them get together.
Been working shift all alone, by the time off work, they already zzz. i'm the elder son so i got to take this responsibility n i should.
So this becomes part of my reason i tot of OMO n TD.
Due to these, if i'm on relief n super relief, wash taxi, topup n return taxi would be either too rush or not able to earn. i know using taxi as personal transport for one main reason going to die or the takings gonna be shit but nothing compared to having time with them when they r still around. Most pple forgotten about we have grown up n they have also grown old. Appriciate those around n what u have, life is something strange that we wont know n in next moment, its gone. when its gone, no point crying or regreting.
I know all big bros n sistas here worked hard n gained experiences therefore advising newbiw liked me to be OMO first n be relief to gain more experiences but i got to give it a try. i already really done something that i tell myself no turning back but to look forward.

If you think you can handle OMO, by all means, cos you will be on your own.

u should be assuming that they come and ask this ask that and after asking , their wings and horns grow liao , they dont care a fark abt this forum anymore.

u probably will not earn much... or even negative...
your energy level also wont be enough to sustain your driving hours during the initial stage...
not saying cannot OMO... juz take a few months start as relief first... from there progress to omo / hirer... trust us... tis is a trial and tested formula... no wrong one...
