STOMPer yanntheangel noticed an accident at
Clementi last night (Feb 28) involving a taxi who unknowingly drove into
a lorry's wheel in the dim lighting.
The STOMPer wrote:
"This accident took place around 11.15pm along Clementi Avenue 4.
"A lorry was parked on left side of the road under a canopy.
"As there was no street lamp in the area, a taxi driver did not notice the stationary lorry in the poor lighting and drove into the outer wheel of the lorry.
"The accident blocked the road and caused the entire street to jam."
taxi no switch on head lights ?
Cardinal rule of driving, look ahead.
Don't look down, 10 feet in front of your vehicle.
One ancient driving tester told me, Singaporean drive like they are walking, they look just infront of them.
Thats why a lorry or a big tree suddenly appear in front.
must be near the northern end of clementi ave 4, that place is pretty deserted to have proper lighting i guess. the TD should have switched to high beam.
chiu cheng .........
