When STOMPer Daniel called up the TransCab hotline to
complain about being overcharged by a taxi driver, the customer service
staff member told him, 'They are humans too and need lunch,' before
hanging up on him.
Said the STOMPer:
"It started all with the usual cab rip-off. A cabbie wanted to get an additional $3 CBD charge -- at lunchtime!
"It didn't work out quite well with me and I logged the usual feedback report with TransCab.
"That's where it started...called their feedback hotline, nobody picked up.
"Fair enough, so I tried their general hotline.
"The lady cannot help and referred me back to the feedback hotline.
"Called them again -- oh wonder somebody picked up.
"Surprisingly it was the same lady.

I agree with poolman , transcab need to sack alot of their drivers. They are really giving a bad name to all the innocent drivers for example me.
Transcab face a lot of rejections esp after past midnite.
And i tell u hor , i met some of my old CDG call kakis , first thing they saw me in a red cab they ask ' U kena kicked out huh? nabey must kick out of CDG then drive transcab? knn

before becoming a td, such info was told by cdg driver when i was taking.

Sorry off topic a bit. Nowadays, Singaporean likes to complaint n complaint. Not only Taxi issue, even my neighbour below my block likes to complaint to HDB about my aircon leaking till she cannot sleep la, too noisy la etc.....i really buay tahan.

i think all those bad tds exist do exist in all 7 taxi coy. and in all trade
just which coy has more and which has less. this never can be avoided

I understand everywhere got bad eggs. Like Pool and BCL says, hopefully they kena complained and gets kicked out leaving behind the ethical ones.
But when you compare how TC and CDG treats complaints, you got to give TC the thumbs up even though you know its not right ( note that I did not say its wrong)

Let be logical here, we take transcab and cdg into the picture, both companies had a vision and objectives, that is to make money and also to serve the customer, which can be both the public customers and the cabbies like us. We are fine with their vision and objectives which translate into their policies, rules and regulations.
Now we come to the branding, and the model of each company practiced,
Cdg had been around for donkey years, their objective is to up their brand, and inorder to do that, they hv to please the public more than the cabbies, and to add on, Cdg has more or less, a overload of applicants looking to be their hirer, so do they need to please their hirers?? Any complaint is therefore taken seriously with immediate action, that is why you see tough punishment being pushed down to their hirer when complain certified that they are wrong in some way.
For Cdg, removing of hirers who alway get complain, be it right or wrong, is a blessing, then they recruit new hirer along the Q lines, they can pick and choose the best and well discipline one for themselves.
For Trancab, they are at the mercy of hirer, without hirers, which is getting less and less, the objective of earning money is gone or reduced. So if they still go head on and terminate their hirer like cdg, they may end up with no hirers, therefore, it makes sense that they support their hirer more than customer complain
