taxi stop : drop only
pick up/ drop off point : both can.

No need remedial class for these lah, see other cabbies do, just follow, only apply during the day, at nite, fark care what stand or stop, just pick and go

by right...by left.... everywhere also can pick n drop... juz dun be caught if doing something not in-line with the regulations...

This is absolutely right. But to be exact, Taxi STop cannot wait only pick n go. But I do see TDs waiting at TAxi Stop @ Orchard Tower. So what is what? Follow Khoon advise lor.

Thanks all the reply!I also 4got when go refresh course.But can remember the course like nothing!after so many years,just dig out the old book...OMG..all change liao lor! (Taxi Stop cannot wait only pick n go)So still can pick but cant wait only!This also part the reason i choose night!!..

in day time don't just follow other to Q at taxi stop.
if you are behind the Q do be alert to look out for lta pp, sometime they just take picture without coming to you and issue summon

Taxi Stand = Taxi can wait there even no commuter is queuing, but there are limited Taxi could wait there, the number of Taxi allow is usually written on the sign board.(with or without commuter queuing)
Taxi Stop = Taxi are not allow to wait there, on the event there is a queue(commuter), only limited Taxi are allow in the queue.Also, it will be written on the sign board.
But usually, the Taxi queuing is so long.........
by the time we see the sign...........
that gentleman or ladies will be converting to a.........
and we Taxi Driver got to...........
for their photography services.

Thanks!I m Clear now..first two day drive for fun..go rounding...look see look see n try auto car..may b see got chio bu then stop!!.next monday then start collect $$!1dun stree myself...since i already rest from 2003 to now,only got work for less than 3 yrs!Rest another two more day is OK lah!! -
Now u know why many cabbies chose to cruise and cruise instead of stationary at taxi stand or taxi stops ? cos they dulan so many rules n regulations .

When they first come out with such ruling , all my senior kan kao bo lat .... that time sgp total about 16500 taxis , if every taxi stand only allowed 2-3 taxis , do they know there is never enough taxi stands ? and LTA actually got the cheek to summon those who overshot allocated waiting lot . eg one place they popular to give summons , Sim Lim Sq taxi stand .

when coming to my end of my shift, if i am in the city, i always put change shift on but will never stop at all those so call taxi stop. since cannot stop to Q in the day time(off peak) even you know less than a min sure got pax, ( kena summon once without knowledge as they took photo and never issue in the spot)
i will slowly move close the taxi stop ( 4plus sure very long Q) and look at them and drive pass.. haha some thought i will stop especially the first i Q, drove off and see their expression , so shoik

most of the cbd especially at commerical area, majority are taxi stop and not taxi stand.. what lta expect huh, tds to drive around and round until got pax then move in to taxi stop? stupid stupid stupid

Taxis cannot wait at Taxi Stop...What about private cars waiting or parked at Taxi stops waiting for GFs, Mistress etc?? They block our way when there is a pax.
Yesterday at Tanglin Mall stand, a BMW was parked at the taxi bay, driver on the fone. I couldn't move in to pick pax and pax also refuse to move out to board. Pax was staring angrily at driver. So i stared honking until the driver moved off. Later pax boarded my cab then commented, got money to buy nice car, no money to pay parking.Good that you honked at him and chased him away!! I just smile and said, thats how it is....
