Hi all, I am a very new TD just started 1month+ and is a OMO. I never really post before in this forum but i always hide and read through all these threads. I just want to write this thread because I really have to THANK one person who really help me start this TD life, Khoon thanks alot.... and ofc Khoon intro me to many ppl like hammer, auntie jade, ep77 and many more. And oso thanks to all brothers in here who share their experience which can in a way or not help new TD like me to get use to life in this trade. When otr, Khoon always teach me where to find pax and guide me through alot things which really help me alot when driving. For me, it really make my driving easier n i learn many things from him, slowly i adjusted n found a driving pattern for myself which i feel very comfortable now. As a OMO really not easy, need to find a suitable driving style n timing so that not to burn out myself and can go far. Anyway, i find my 1st month in TD very interesting. Like everyday otr is a new experience and meet many different ppl n get to drive to different places in sg which as a local oso dint realise that there are such places. The only bad point is i got into 3 accidents which all are "so called" bang by ppl. Imagine turning left into a street and the car next to me can oso come into my lane n bang into me. And recently involve in a chain accident which I am the 2nd car. Who more unlucky than me? Ofc I feel very sad about all these but I take it as a experience and I am now enjoying my holiday at home. Heeheehee..... Lastly, keep driving happily n stay healthy everyday to all my TD brothers.... Hope to see and learn more from all brothers in here and share more of the experience....

I feel veri happy reading all the unselfish sharings from bros & sisters here...
I sign up for CDG on 21/2/12 after getting my TVL in the morning. Probably have to wait 3 mths. In the meantime, learning alot in this forum. I always make it an effort to login n read the postings everyday hoping to learn bits by bits b4 starting otr.

Do not worry, those old birds no more motivation and less active than you, they only wait for durians or coconuts to drop, they go OBK does not imply you go OBK, in reverse, actually it is a good time for newbies to learn during this 2 months to prepare for more exciting month ahead. Stay cool and most important, remember to press the meter, no press, no money, got press, got money ok

OBK is good , no need sunglasses also look macho.To evade getting your eyes more Or, need to drive smart, when and where to Q, when and where to sweep, where and when got good calls can help you to plan well.
If no pax, you keep sweeping for what, waste fuel, end up OBK, go Q lah
If got pax, Q for what, waste time, end up OBK, go sweep
If time to take calls, go near the private or condo, go HDB sometime no show, then OBK

Congrats Bro. Now those newbies are very lucky cos in this forum there are got quite a numbers of bros driving day now. 2yrs back when i first join this trade, only kenteolk driving day. the rest of the bros mostly all night.

Same to all other jobs, everything is up and down, without the downtime (OBK), how can you determine the uptime(huat time), the economy call it Booming and Recession, the stock market call it bull and bear run, the working people call it Bonus and no bonus time, the workers call it got OT and no OT time.
TD call it OBK and Huat time. Just hang on there, now is the seeding time, if you got plan and other private matter to settle like going holiday, taking a rest or doing a long overdue medical checkup or appointment, it is good to do it now, rehabilate and rejuvenate yourself well, makes more friends and buddies, be with family more often and so on.
And when the Huat time arrive...chiong AH!!
