At 5pm to 6pm, it is difficult to get a cab because
1) Traffic congestion - it took more time to complete a journey, hence lesser Taxi
2) Common Changing Shift Time
3) More Commuter - This timing falls on just after working hours and right before cheap Taxi fares for the day.
4) Dinner Time - This is the Best time to have a break and get ready for the evening peak.
5) The demand are all saturated at certain point only, hence Taxi once took a Pax, it is unlikely they will return back again.
There are just too many reason, hidding or make enough money kind of reason is certainly not vaild because
1) Hide - We do not require to "Hide" at all, there no ruling stated we MUST drive during this hour, we do not need to answer to anyone for taking a break
2) Make enough - We will be on our way home to have the evening with our kids like everyone does.
The thumb of rule for Taking a Cab is
When the fares are cheap, you got to Wait
When the fares are reasonable, we(cabby) got to Wait

I am to the point I almost want to agree with the China student liao. SG got more dogs than people. Where else on earth you find these people? China PAX always grumble worry you con them, SG pax if kenna these (particular generation) cb kia, sometimes just want to ask them alight. No money go take bus! Don't take cab liao so buay song.

Stompers are really an idiotic group of people. They think they are so damn smart stomping others, but they do not know the full extent of the damage they do.
Do you know that the Authorities follow-up on the stomping? That's why until now, nothing is done to stop the stompers.

Knn non peak hide kpkb, peak hour then break meh? If peak break hor not enough taxi kpkb again. Of course those who gam kai lui book cab we entertain them mah. If buay gam kai then go take MRT/BUS dun come disturb us. We no need cheapos pax like you.....
