BTW, does relief driver has to registered with Hirer's Taxi Company or just some written or verbal private agreement with Hirer will do?

I step into LTA to apply my TDVL on 30th Sep 2011.
Start my normal course at STA mid-Dec (sumbody opt out so i can slot in)
Took my TDVL test on 6th Feb
Will be receiving my TVL license 21th Feb (tomorrow)
Roughly, it is abt 5mths to get the physical license. I wud like to thank Just_do_it_lah & Koon for sharing their thots with me past weeks. Juz sharing wat i know... :)

Upon obtaining the TDVL from LTA,
U may need to search for a potential hirer (within your Carpark) for easy access, dun have to walk to far, or even come back earlier if you dun feel well from driving.
If the discussion and/or agreement goes well between you and the hirer... (terms & conditions) http://sgforums.com/forums/3426/topics/442213, then you need to go down to the company and do a formal registration.

taxi driving as hirer no social life,always gotta think about covering rental first!then some passengers treat u like shit even my money bag was stolen under my seat!contains about $150-200

i think it was stolen fr a PRC(no bias)who says he was buying something for his boy,but couldn't say where in Orchard road,when i mention a shopping place he quickly agree!he was having a big haversack(could be tools of his trade),and was sitting right behind me,coughing nervously throughout the journey.when reach his destination,say he not enough cash,whether can pay by credit card,but unfortunately,i couldn't get the payment terminal to work,and funny thing later he say he can pay by cash!by then he could have taken my money pouch and able to pay the $15!his credit card looks suspiciously stolen!just my intuition.later i found out the seat behind me fr below appeared cut open!previously i had checked that there was no opening between the driver compartment and the passenger behind!next time no moer trust about suspicious looking people

I know most people tends to treat TDs like shit, given our status and so many bad name given, but you must hv confident not to let other treat you like shit.

Raise your voice abit higher, be strong and confident, so before the pax want to take over the command of you and your cab, you already 70% cornerned him, it your show.
Crooks are expert in body language, once you show your timid / blur/foolish side of yourself, it is jackpot for them. They do not just take one cab, they could had ride on a few cab before they get one jackpot like you, BECAREFUL.
