LTA reviewing taxi driver retirement age

Dunno in their brains what worms they have .

When people get older, their reaction time becum longer..... hence, it is a ticking time bomb on the road..... + likely will road hogs.

really sad!So young,some more got family to feed!!But i met 72/73one old td at refresh course last time.he told menext yrs cant drive taxi liao,worry got no$ to feed himself n wife (no children).work as cleaner $very less!

Fark 73? I dunno if I can still drive at 60, let alone 73.
Hopefully can kena Toto 1st prize way before then, can shake leg, surf the net everyday, come online and tell my grandfather taxi stories which wll make all newbies shake their head!

To be fair, I see many workers reaching their retirement age of 62yo wanted to carry on working, could be for money sake or just to keep themselves busy.
We as TD, may not know what happen when we or if we managed to reach 72yo, childrens would had their own life to go on, there is little life left in us other than maybe drinking kopi and willingly get conned by PRC gals or beer ladies without remorse
.At that age, it can be a blessing if we can still drive on to 75yo, at least make ourselve abit busy and feel economical useful to both the public and ourselves.

All I want to say is, it looks quite silly to be driving at 75yo, just like working people use to complain when retirement age was rise to 62yo, now, somehow those who are now reaching 60s feel grateful that they can go on for another 2 years.
I think for we hv to look at the perspective of a 70yo TD inorder to better appreciate the rise in TD to 75yo. But of course if you feel that you want to retire at 55yo or kenna toto and retire young, by all means
