My contract ends this May, considering to throw key because fed-up with the CNG mileage and the unstable cost of CNG.
I approximate an extra $8 a day in fuel costs compare to diesel driven taxis. Consumption of Wish not good (no power so step harder) and have to switch to petrol when gas runs out.
But Wish is still the cheapest auto shift taxi and relatively new (2 litre), comparable to Crown in terms of rental. That's why I can OMO..........so far.
Can anyone here good in maths and did their sums, does the incentives counteracts the higher fuel operating costs and maybe still make it all worthwhile. If not throw key liao!

I only have old numbers taken from here and there in the forum. Got no new data after the CNG adjustment. The rental (after deduct incentives) from Transcab is comparable to the Crown, only the mileage differs.
In summary (approx)
Crown (Diesel) $0.11 per km
Wish (CNG/Petrol) $0.13 per km (old data)
Wish (Petrol only) $0.16 per km (doubtful)
I am trying to compute whether to take up Wish. But, everybody throwing key, sibei sian ah.
The feeling is like people coming out from the buffet hall, and I am trying to push my way in. All the good food already eaten. Now hoping the chef will bring out some good dishes, but the hope is very frail.

clocking 350km about $47 cng....
Rental, $98-$20($665)= $78 per day....
overhead cost for wish is arround $125
For sonata overhead cost arround $105+35(diseal) = $140..
So if u r OMO, idle type, and stay at west side, still can take la,
cause rest on SUN is only $78 nia compare sonata $105

Well calculate but I think as per mentioned in this thread, wait till the Budget announcement before deciding whether to take Wish,
Personally, I think Wish is still more suitable for OMO then sonata as Sonata rental will be up soon (as saw in other thread). Thus, if Wish remains the same, it will be the obvious winner but had to see what is the new on the CNG price first before deciding.
Thus, let wait for a few more days......

if manageable... juz carry on drive wish...

looking from different perspective... transcab probably also waiting to see wat the budget do (or will not do) for them... before deciding on the next step on the wish...
one option is to recall all Wish for export... and convert the entire fleet to epica... (not an unlikely option as TC tends to keep their fleet simple)... plus Chevorlet provides recovery service for breakdowns... which actually removes quite a burden from the engineering department...
TC has managed to pull off surprises in the past...
lets see if they are able pull it off again tis time round...

Mr Teo can look for buyer from Thailand to buy his Wishes, in return try to get something like i 30 a much middle size taxi will be better for his company. I don't think the korea company just sell i30 CW CDI to sliver cab only. At the end of the day money talk. If I am Teo will go to thailand to look for taxi companies owners to buy them.
Do not think no contract is a good deal
Don't forget, everytime a car is return, it is "money come" for them and "money gone" for Taxi Driver.
All these while they had been practice it, expect us to return back a brand new condition car to them, if not they will charge us above market price to repair. Usually, they didn't even touch the car and hire it out to others driver.
It is karma time for them, too much evil done and unpunish for years.
