The best I got was 32.90 around up to 35.
Heard from one bro here got pax 20 plus fare give 100 and ask to keep the change.
haha, dun have such luck.
there was once I got a 31.95, around me to make it 40 and pay by credit card.
I got stunned for a moment, dunno how to do and end up, haha, not doing anything, all these while pax was behind collecting luggage. When he say the receipt, he ask me why I did not round up and I smile and say it's ok. Inside my heart, very pain.
Actually, i not really expect tips la.
If every customer can pay me cashless I happy liao. Why cashless? cos otherwise, I always ended up giving them tips instead, (rounding up). at least with cashless, I get 100% of what I deserved.
Dunno why ppl dun like cashless. was told by a friend of mine that he took cab but dun have much money with him, so he told TD he is paying by NETS. Guess what? He told from from start of trip to end, the TD just keep on scolding him none stop. Saying things like no more dun take taxis and all that jest.

The best tip I gotten was from an Australian family came for holiday in Dec... Fare was $14.50. He dig his pockets with a bundle of cash & coins and said: "All yours Sir!" ... total: $41.90.
I replied: "Thank you Sir, Thank you sir, Thank you sir!"

The more cashless I collected, the lesse I need to top up for my rental deduction. (anyway both side also Ah Q mentality right? just your left or right pocket only)
The funniest tips I ever got was from a China family. The lady give me 2 green note and ask me keep the change.Then I see the MDT, it's $15.00, I say it's not enough Mdm.
U know why? cos she only see the meter reading, excluding the city surcharge and the booking fees. She must have felt very generous when she say "keep the change".

Some pax like to pay by card because their compnay allow them to charge on their company issued card. Got some from an Asian country, everything will also pay by card. They have the mentality, card is very big, not many in their home country have card, so they like to show off, even $5 fare pay by card.
Hirers generally don't mind card payments because will offset from rental deductions, but most relief prefer cash.
I don't mind card if pax are students, NS or if the fare really very high. Others I'm not impressed.

Anyway, some adviced on cashless transaction. Some black sheep in taxi industries are making use of CDG cashless terminal to conduct illegal activities....
If Poolman approved, than I post more details on how things was conducted, or else TD just be careful and dont be tempted by all this nonsense....

Got one airport trip pax says got no Sing$. $35, only got US$.
Buddy with walkie advised me not to accept, lots of fake. unless 1 to 1.
I ask pax and she say ok.
Give her back $65, worry until I reached Mustafa Centre a few hours later.

CDG max within 3 days in my account liao.
Althought got so many cashless payment choice, only NETS the most often used. Credit cards very seldom, maybe 1 in 200. Cabcharge - lagi lesser.
Am educating pax to use less NETS and more EZlink, no extra 30 cts, no need Pin number.
Dunno why ppl want use credit card - extra 7% some more. Company pay maybe la.

Only those generous ang mor do round up to the nearest x$10 .
Dunno why recently kept getting round up x$10 amount .
$12 , take $20 .
$21 , take $25 .
$28 , Take $30 .
$31 , take $40 , give me back $10 .
$40 is the max , unlucky me , not often i get one over $40 trip , not waste time meh ? So long trip .

for me my biggest tip normally frm midnite AP trips...........
last last sun did i steam trip $80 bucks frm AP give me $10 extra
total $90............

Usually, TD if enage in long disposal, pax most time will reward handsomely...... Corporate pax Bo kang dao one, bill to company, they where got so good, give u tip....so must secure individual also, especially Indonesia and PRC (not geylang one) rich tyhoon...

This 2 Viet Con LPK(law pee kei) took my taxi.....talk talk talk, told them my grandson trying to collect different country currency.....waw, one of them started to dig out their currency and find for me, 1000,2000,5000,10000 etc. Me mind think ho sei Liao....They are so pround of their currency, instant millionaire after that trip......hahaha -
