-excellent steering feel and turing circle, but bad turning radius
-excellent comfort level with exceptional smooth acceleration attributed to the V6. Good insulation and good suspension set up for street.
-Poor lateral balance. Anything front drive with V6 is wrong. Plus Malaysian 205 profile tyres not doing any favour to hold the weight. Geometry is correct thus handling still of decent standards.
-V6 turbo enough to pull away from most other Cabs. Perhaps on par with Chrysler.
-huge brakes matching huge weight. Brake pumps known to fault.
-Over invested, under-rated
-and how can anyone not know, it's an Audi A4 in a different badge.
-I'd pay $130 if they are replacing with new models.
-if kept clean, enough to scare away cheapo pax.

Used to be the FASTEST in pick up taxi in Singapore......(the older badge)... even Mercedes CDI is only second fastest.
(Chrysler Taxi not on the road yet lah)....They (Premier Cab, Silvercab) called it Silver Arrow, also categorized as a Limo Cab.
Dued to it lighter body and greater horsepower within a small body, the acceleration is Out of this world..... even the private cars are put on shame.....
BUT... becos of this, many of the TDs whom jump over from their Crowns or other business vehicles can't control their power horse and have many accidents cases especially on cornering. Their acceleration may be fast... but their brakes are not as efficient than those used by Mercedes-Benz.
Will be interesting if Silvercab decides to put New ones on the road.

Skoda is a good car, because of it contindental nature, it is more expensive, its belong to Czech Republic, eastern europe, the likes of footballer Shevchenko
, who also start good but end up a lost like Torres.Since 2000, Skoda is under Volkswagon of Germany and in 2010, it was the best selling car in the eastern european market. It is consider as VW Boro and Passat in between design.
Private car in Skoda accident is almost zero in singapore, that is because of the phobia of eastern europe reliability since the bad experiences with Lada samara, another russia state maker, ending with less buyer, but it is gaining popularity with it confident and VW behind it.
As for TD, sorry to say, given what car also get accident, that is the liabilities cabbies must hold, on the road for hours travelling as tho here to KL everyday, and also in a congested surrounding.

premium got no plan to introuduce replacement skoda, some of the old skoda plate no. are now register as i30
start $3.50 but some tds face rejection by pax on the street. but overall still a good car for taxi

skoda, porsche belongs to VW
Audi does not
but they have agreement some how to share some of the engines and platform

It's a shame that most Asians overlook Skoda... they offer VW tech at lower prices.

Seriously, many of my pax already commented my fares are lower than other cabs..... lower by few dollars for < half island drive. And also surprisingly very fuel efficient.
