First of all....
@ the point of going into a driving partnership agreement... Did your current relief tells you that he may travel often ?
Best advice is to sit down with him (have a can of JaJa Liang-Teh) and have a heart to heart conversation. (Ho Ho Kong) Telling him your driving patterns have been affected by his change of timing in changing shifts and travelling.
If there no solution after talking, then, Ho-Lai-Ho-Kee, give him some time to look for another cab to drive. (the norm is 1 week notice).
Try to settle your current relief problem before deciding to get another...
Having another friend is better than having another enemy.
Good Luck.
if this partnership doesnt work, find a new partnership which you feel comfy.
its your choice to make. it happens. hubby wife partnership ends, business partnership ends. its not the end of the world

Bro, when we started out he did say he will go on holiday few times a year. But i din expect once in 2 mths. If terminate him, means that we r enemy? What if he screws my cab during the 1 week period notice? hmm..
If he screwed up the cab... company will ask him to pay for it. He still got a security deposit with company right ?
If you terminate him w/o a good reason, it will probably turned the relationship ugly. Do it at a proper way... as least he knows his weakness. If he is not willing to compromise, then you got your reason to end the driving agreement.

Bro, What if he purposely make dents or scratch the cab and he deny it? The lateness alone is a gd reason to terminate him le IMO.. FYI, i did voice out out to him bout his lateness & holiday trips. He got mentioned that if both party can't see eye to eye den no point to continue this partnership.
Well, if you kicked him out... does that means he won't come to your place and sabotage your cab at your carpark ?
Talk with him nicely, if he is still not willing to compromise, then end the agreement promptly. Try your best to see that there is no hard feeling towards each other (easy come, easy go). Also, pls claim down before you meet up with him.... always take the good (he is once your mentor) with the bad.
me also always go motherland leh.......... 1mth -1.5 mth i go 1 week liao......
but my hirer is ok cause when ever weekends the other relief cant drive
i cover OMO n on some weekdays he got his outside job i also cover for him
best is hirer n relief can sit down n talk tins over then can work happily together
Bro Alws Tired, just go find another relief and tell him u found a replacement. Dun worry so much that he will come and make dents on your car. Otherwise be an OMO if u got the stamina to clock 16hrs daily. There r many sonata and trans wish OMOs.

Need some advise.
My relief going long holiday but he pay me 1/2 of his rental as compensation as usual.
Since our partnership ard 4 mths plus, he has gone for holiday trip approx 28 days (excluding most recent).
I have found a temp relief staying v near to my hse & he is interested to partner me for perm. But however, i intend to trial out this new relief b4 making any decision.
My current relief is sort like mentor to me (im only got 5 mths exp). But im quite piss off with his attitude. He alws late in handover time (10-15) 4 times in a week. Major lateness also 4 times.
1st- 1 hr late
2nd- 1 hr late
3rd- 2 hrs late
4th- 1.5 hrs lateHe use overslept as an excuse which i find it unacceptable. I did tell him to buy alarm clock or use his hp as an alarm. But he say it’s useless!!
And also he didnt wash the cab for 2 weeks. He did it only when i tell him to do so with grumbling like ’ wash liao den rain, now dirty again blah blah’.
Today, he give me 1/2 rental of his shift x per day in lieu of his holiday. Quite a lot cos he went for 14 days holiday trip.
Need some advise. If trial period with temp relief is ok, i intend to refund all the $$ to this current relief & end our partnership immediately.
1. Do i need to give him 1 week notice (he requested it when we start our partnership)? 2. What if he say i can’t terminate him since i have taken his $$ in the 1st place?
Thks for advise.
P.s: This really makes my blood boil—> I ask him aft this long trip, will he go for holiday again for this yr. He reply yes, 1 week for once in 2 mths! Me like KNNBCCB u!@#$ in my mind.
To part on good terms , its best to give your relief some notice.
When i was targetted to be kicked off by my last last hirer, he told me he will wait for me to find another cab .
eh not that im problematic , he wants to take over my shift and let out the day slot :D
Bro... what we can give you are just advices...
The most important is what you intend to do.....
Try to minimize any confrontation. Explain to him your unhappiness (nicely). Raising voice don't help to settle the problem. (Pls don't bring Poolman there.... later he chopped your relief into pieces... just kidding).
(Like Bro BCL said) Try to part with good terms.... Singapore is a small island.... taxi industry also... Easy cum... Easy go... It will brings you more GOOD then BAD. .
No more partnership, still can be friends..... rather than 1 enemy.... correct ?
1. talk new terms with him - cannot change relief
2. give him notice - no need special reason just say want to drive omo
3. increase his rental by e.g $10 - let him terminate you
( cos he always late and go holiday, as a form of compensation)
as i have mentioned, change when things don't work out, no need to hold it in your heart, you bring unnecessary stress to yourself, bad for health lah
new relief good or bad really hard to tell as you got to partner and see, change till you find a good one
all the best
Aiyo, where got people jia ba ani eng go scratch or purposely dents your taxi.
This protray a lack of trust of between both hirer and relief, it is better to let go, as a OMO, you have all the right to terminate him, just give him advance notice and move on.
In fact he already tell you to terminate if cannot see eye to eye, so what are you waiting for, but one thing for sure that your need to improve is learn to trust your fellow TD brother,
Your thinking of that he will damage your taxis is sad to say, very childish thinking and it tell me alot about you, "the one who think what other will do stupidity action to harm him, is alway the one who will do the same to others"

Bro, my thinking is for precaution's sake. Not that i will do the same to him. As a hirer, if cab got any problem, the taxi company will come to u not ur relief leh..
Your relief's security deposit still being uphold by office.... on the day of handling over key, just do a brief check.
Seems like your decision is already finalised even before you start this thread . In this case, the approach is essential.
An "on the spot termination" is deemed unreasonable in the general view as he did compensated half of his shift rental which is accordance to industry practise.
But since you are the hirer... do what you feel like doing... we can't stop u....

yah hirer can SACK SACK SACK~~~~
relief can THROW THROW THROW~~~~
my advise...
以和为贵
late 10 to 15 mins is nothing. very common
late 1 to 2 hours... simply return late also
if there are suspicions over each other, then is better to split the partnership.
I go holiday...my hirer never charge me a cent... we always cover for each other.
why so complicated one?
khoon n ck late late lor... still go Q buy 4D together... drink kopi together...
want start earlier coz got lobang or can start later coz want idle... juz let each other know...
day shift repair... but due to ck trained in auto mechanics... simple simple fault... he trouble shoot... khoon sit there talk cock with him...
nite shift wash car... but sometimes need to rush handover coz town piang or got advanced... den forgo the wash... khoon do it later in the day...
like tat lor...
