Hi all seniors,
I'm a new bird driving as a relief driver just a year and need advise
from you guys, thanks in advance.
Case loss from me.
Q1. I need to bear the daily full rental for Hirer?
Q2. Do I need to pay my Hirer daily lost income?
Hirer send for repair, how much do i need to pay?
Case win from me ( pay party willing settle without insrance claim)
Q1. Do I need to pay my daily rental to Hirer?
Q2. How much can I claim my daily lost income from the other party?

1stly....
Before you start driving with your potential hirer....
This issue must be iron-out already... (together with the rest of the issues).
What happens this, what happens that....
If your hirer is understanding... he won't penalised you if you meet with an accident (on your fault).
Some (hirers) still want some LOSS OF INCOME from the relief... which is unhuman
.If it is a small dent some where... then.. go repair it.. If the hirer volunteered to do it... just asked him how many hours do you need to compensate him.

If your hirer is a day shift driver...
by normal circumstances, he is the better person to visit the workshop... hence some of his driving hours are taken to repair the vehicle...
It will go by the original agreement.. one hour late.. how much is the rate ? normally $15-$20.

Ask the other party to visit the same workshop (your preferred workshop.. not the other driver preferred workshop).

2ndly,
If an insurance claim is filed.... ( Not your fault lah ).
The Taxi company's insurance policy already covers for the lost of income for the drivers. ( I don't know how much now ).... approximately $80 per day.... $40 each.. **provided the hirer give the benefit to relief. (need to iron-out with hirer before you drive for him).
You can do a personal injury claim on the other party if you are injured during the accident event. A medical certificate is needed and a police report may be required if your MC is more than 3 days.... (The more days of MC you got... the more pay-out the claim can be)...
Your may needs more.....

If the said party are willing to settle personally.....
Ask him for his preferred workshop....
Go there and repair ASAP.... (within 48hrs... if your case is not filed with your taxi company, the other party may file an accident report on you... then you LPPL...Lan Par- Par Lan)...
.You can claim your daily rental + lost of income .. (by industry standard, it is the same as the above mentioned amount, as stated in your taxi's insurance policy).

It is hard to determine your injury (worth in payment) on private settlement....??
If you are really injured... then go for insurance claim...
