Taxi Driver robbed

"A young man was arrested after allegedly robbing a taxi driver and claiming to be the victim when questioned by police.
Police said that a 21-year-old flagged down a taxi along Yishun Avenue 3 early on Sunday morning, and is believed to have put a knife to the 44-year-old driver’s neck before shouting “Robbery!” in Hokkien.
After a scuffle, the passenger made away with $100, leaving his driver with cuts on his hands, according to a police on Sunday evening.
The cabby then filed a police report, and 40 minutes later, investigating officers found a man who fit the description given by the taxi driver. The suspect initially claimed to have been robbed of his money and mobile phone, but officers discovered paper that could have been used to wrap a knife, and arrested him after more questioning.
The man is now being charged for armed robbery and hurt, and is being investigated for giving false information to a public servant. If convicted of the former, he could be sentenced to a jail term of up to 20 years and at least 12 strokes of the cane, while the latter charge will subject him to a one-year jail term and a $5,000 fine."Fines goes to the Govt, what does the TD get? pain from handcut and maybe few days rental free.
