Interesting Finale

Have quite a good run on Sat night ending Sunday morning.
was thinking of rounding it up by getting a paid trip home.
Heard Clarke Quay's street all full of passenger waiting for taxi, so put my MDT on changing shift mode - CCK (pump diesel)
Came from Sentosa, so took the CTE tunnel and exit from Merchant Rd, wow, pax were literally waiting for me at the mouth of the CTE Merchant exit. whole road full of pax.
Now, apply the new pattern that I have learn, be more selective.
First few are groups of 4, all skip.
Finally, stop for a couple, later I realised, Indian guy and Pinoy gal, looked at my Changing Shift location and ask "Uncle, Chinatown can?"
Then I remark " Chinatown? here is Chinatown already!"
Then he said "Chinatown Hotel81". Huh? Just one turn, I tell myself.
Then I told them ok, come onboard.
By right, just turn right to New Bridge Road, just one bus stop, reached liao.
But to make it more "value for money" for him, I take Pickering, South Bridge Rd, Upper Cross Street and stop at door of Hotel81, meter still the same, $3.20.
They happy, I happy, collect money and tell the guy "u enjoy".
Turn right and have another go at Clark Quay again.
Again, do my screening and pick up one young couple. When i stopped for them, this guy raised his hand in jubilation as if he just scored a goal. Must have flag many taxis and one finally stop for them.
I pointed to the Change Shift location and the girl said "Uncle, Bt Panjang?"
wah lao, like going home, I said "Hop in"
When I drive further down, the girl was winding down the window and calling to her friend and the guy comment "do u really have to show off that you finally got yr cab?"
Reached destination and stop meter - $13.20, gosh, Clark Quay to Bt Panjang only $13.20, so dam cheap. Whos' talking about taxi fare expensive?
Anyway, trip home is paid for, so nothing to complain about.

Tho is a normal shift, its kind of good to express it out, afterall, not much people give a damn about TD stories but only TDs themselves.

but all one way departure, go down town empty.

Same here, I also 5 times from AP. First time I ever q there so many times but I wished I had gone there earlier though. :)

I dont like waiting these days, but talking about this airport trips reminds of the good old days in the 90s, when airport was a favourite location of mine on Sat/Sun from noon to around 7 pm. Pick and go, as most TD were at Turf club.
1 Sunday I did nothing but airport shuttle to and fro, but those days diesel something like 33cts or less!

The couple why just can't walk to the Hotel 81, fxxking meter didn't even jump. If my meter didn't jump, i will jump.

wha! solid, all crysler and limo Huat big time, no waiting, pick and go, no choice, no cabs, white, black, blue, red or whatever also pax take, knn, even the indian women and ah pek marshals also go out to call cabs in, I stop at T2 urine and drink kopi also knn ask to go in quickly.When I drop pax at departure, also got paxs want to come up, I told them go down and Q, then got one jap guy said he live in westwood, jurong, need to go home urgently, I said, no way, tho saliva drop, but still cannot take, got camera. Uncle laws by laws one ok.

BJ, sometime go down empty is better than Q there for hours. AP to civlisation is much faster than Tuas south to civilisation -

which route you took?
next time take AYE, exit clementi rd, take PIE, BKE,
like this longer route

let me use my first "ah ni kuan gong way, ho tia meh member?"
i use long route not on purpose ok, cos I dunno a better route, like the simei to SIA Training centre.
Not for the sake of earning more money la.
Going Bt Panjang for me is like going home, of course I know the shortest way home, still take longest route? Pax dun make noise I also paiseh.
