China Woman looking for cheapest Taxi

Was at the zoo this evening. At the front of the queue was a Merc, then a Chrysler and then me. This China woman open the door of Merc n ask something, then slam the door. Did the same thing to Chrysler. She open my taxi door and ask how much. I said what u mean how much. Ur starting fare she ask. I said $3.40. Slammed the door!! Behind me were another 3 or 4 mercs..KNN...The zoo co-ordinator should asked her to re-queue since she rejected so many taxis!!! Else she can rent the elephants from zoo and get to her destination!!

Centuri , understood lar .... Singapore taxi so many patterns , prices also so many patterns . Even a Professor also blur at our Singapore taxi fare system . Pls dun blame commuters , or blame anyone else , blame the culture .

The term taxi arrive from french taxation, meaning it command a higher price, in another words, it is taxing to take a taxi, that, paxs must understand.
The fares is display on the pax side window, I alway ask pax to refer to it, unless chinese who do not understand english word, then I explain to them.

If you are a singaporean, you should know that there are no cheapest taxi, and not only taxi, nothing is cheap is singapore. The most, mere differences is only 20cents, what is there to cheap about, people are willing to siam for that pathetic 20cents, but end up spending on restaurant with 10% svc charges and 7% of Gst out of a $50 meal, which is about $8 given out to nothing.And during CNY, I see so many people throw 20 cents at temple wishing well and even at marina bay platform wishing light, but take taxi, worry about 20 or 50 cents???

China woman talk to me in chinese, hahahahaha, never entertain. Indian talk to me in Tamil/Hindi also never entertain, maybe older Indian Singaporeans in tamil, may be I accept. Foreign no no no.
I only entertain English, Malay, Hokkien and Tamil the 4 official languages.Wny no Mandarin because Chinese Singaporeans can talk English, so China woman come here, learn English, I go China, I learn Mandarin, fair what.

those r the cheapo pax lor......... knn go drinking spend $200 on a bottle
come out $0.20 more for taxi they siam PHUi!!!! tats y when town piang
i make sure they regret muz pay me more still muz beg me to take them........
like 5am+ normally u will see 1 white rubbish truck parked at the ERP gantry
coming in frm river valley opp CQ. I let pax come 1 by 1 to me to be interviewed............

Call 999, maybe SPF will drive her back to hotel or whatever. Come here so 凄凉for what? In 5 years time, Singapore will be more expensive to come. Not enough penny is like they go hong kong not buying things. People want to come here must �力而为, it's not our fault too.

I am a Chinese here, but very dark. They speak English to me I return English to them. I will also switch my Chinese radio to eng b4 the open my door. -
Maybe the TD who pick her will go long way, (and she dunno) and charge more.

starting fare is 73 cts and it can only get you to mandai road only..... or can pay S$1.90 cash to take to AMK interchange... 35 mins journey... not bad.. at least still can take brand new mercedes bus on Sv138....

In the first place, all places of interest must have a Surchage. Sentosa, Bird Park, Zoo. As for terminals, TMFT, Golden Mile, HourbourFront, Checkpoint. Taxi Companies did not fight for it, so now they are implementing new taxis and rentals.

whenever i see cheapo searching for cheaper Taxi, i always pray hard they don't choose me. even when they chosen me, i find excuses not to take them. because 1) i believe that when people got problem with the fares, they will have problem for me. 2) these people usually give me short trip, longer trip they can't afford. sometime, i envy those black driver, automatically eliminate those cheapo.
