These days, dun play loyalty with companies, gone are the days whereby companies recognise and reward long and loyal service people handsomely.
I guess many had known that one big mistake only, or 2 minor ones can get you out of the company, same goes to corporate world, only the oldies who cannot find job, stick around and take whatever scrap they can dig, the youngs will go jobs hopping here and there, you talk to them about loyalty to company, they tell you go fly kite.

Today, what is $5? you take feeder bus and mrt to and fro also not enough, so what is $160, you go out with family dinner, $160 may not even be enough.
The transcab management must had gone thru a emergency meeting to come out with this figure, and the cut is on rental rather than on others. Its is definitely not easy for them to cut, $160 let say x 3000 2.0cc wish is 480,000 lost, nearly 1/2 a million, in a year, u go figure it out. CNG had cut into their profit and trancab drivers' profit, the cut should be $10, but somehow, they want the drivers to share the burden of lost, all these end up CNG companies profiting, and who owns CNG gases in Singapore??? you go figure it out.
Driving a taxi is so simple yet is also complicated.
Simple because end of shift you need not bring your work home.

Not so complicated lah, ask yourself why transcab was set up initially with a total usage of CNG?
For me, the 1.8 is going to be gone case, Transcab is slowly moving itself toward epica and limo, the 2.0 wish is the last frontier for them to tarhan, no more will be coming, even so, will be on diesel. By reducing $5, they hope to get hold of most hirers for another 2 to 3 years, after that Trancab wish on CNG is history. City Spring the gas producing at Jurong island also under temasek is operating at a lost, their share had plunged to a few cents. Till the last pop of gas is used up, it will declare a final dividend and seek liquidation, so in a nutshell, Wish is the scrap goat now
