Yukon I believe is in Canada, bloody cold. Not so crime prone but still the weather is a killer.
Anyway I got a family to care for here and they need my presence, so as much as I wanted to work overseas, it's never gonna be possible.

yes, it is a place in icy canada..yes, it may be cold but wun kill a person right? or else how come got people stay there right?

Yes, but icy roads are something totally different from what we used to Singapore. Even with special tyres, there's no grip.
But I guess some people can overcome it, but for Singaporeans is gonna be tougher because not used to such conditions and of course left hand drive.

Everyone there has a car or a pickup.
Those that do not, also do not have money for taxi.

i am the advertiser for taxi drver. i am a singaporean and started a taxi company in Yukon canada abut 5 years ago. my wife is also a singaporean. there are two other singaporeans at the moment driving atxi for my company. there is a lot of misconception about this place. it is only cold only in the winter which is about three to four months a year. in any case, i always advised taxi drivers from singapore to move to more suthern part of canada if they are not used to the cold weather of the yukon. i encourage taxi drivers to move to vancouver, calgary or toronto or even return to singapore after they work for our company for two years.

Canada got more Alien than their own people, from Indian to singh to Hongkees, when sailing, I used to visit vancouver, seattle and a San francisco under the Trans shipping. $5k in canada is nothing, their cost of living is damn high, and the tax is nearly half of your paid, so in return you get only 2 to 2.5k.
More over as a foreigner you get no welfare or benefit as their citizens such as medical, school, training and many other subsides, you could be lure into becoming their citizen, people went there from war torn country like pakistan, poor provinces like in lndia, punjab, or during the vietnam war, the vietnamese are there too, so are the hongkees and macau chye who migrate there due to worry and dislike of china took over.
However, life is very relax there, people are more gracious, more open and also more gang, guns and drugs, after 5pm, beside Macdonald, some pubs and those 7/11 stores, the rest all closed, all office closed, it is a very slow pace of life there. In Vancouver, forget about taxi, all taken up by the indian gang, the native canadian only work as police, govt jobs, all other jobs are done by foreigners.

There is always a price to pay if you go overseas and work... but if it all worth it ?

no wor, I just curious that the taxi down there TD de salary is fixed rate, unlike here is TD take taxi earning then minus off taxi charges etc etc...
